My husband and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate his birthday. We, on the spur, booked this hotel and greatly regret it. It is definitely not a five star hotel-three at the most. Our first room they placed us in was the Sophia-1) there were very creepy people across the street staring me down as I tried enjoy view from the balcony (not necessarily the hotels fault but one does like to feel safe where they stay.) 2) at night when we wanted to sleep-it was ridiculous how loud the noise was. They were kind enough to move us to a room in the back (Lola) and the noise was at a much more bearable level. 3) the second night at 11pm we received phone calls from the front desk that someone(Martinez) wanted to speak with my husband-super creepy because we don’t anyone by that name but they knew his-they called two more times trying to convince my husband to take a call downstairs. Please for the love of all that is safe and good DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. If you do I pray your stay was nothing like what we experienced.

Right in the center of the action

We overnighted here on our way to San Miguel de Allende. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and public spaces were charming. Nice breakfast in the courtyard which was included in our rate although we were charged and had to straighten things out with the front desk. Very well located to enjoy the historic center of Queretaro. Would definitely stay again.

Soo disappointed

I chose this hotel because we had stayed here before.
Upon arriving at the room I noticed half the toiletries were Moulton Brown, and the other half were an unknown cheap brand.
Called the front desk for a complete set, and nobody could give me a right answer.
Querétaro is cold al this time of the year, and for a junior suite of that price, they could not provide a comforter or blanket, just a flimsy coverlet.
When we did the checkout, I asked for the manager, Esther de la Vega. She gave me a funny answer: that they were changing administration's, and for all the inconveniences, she would send me a voucher for a one night stay.
Not having received it in a week's time, I called her, and she insisted she would send me one.
Up until now, nothing.
Low quality standards, bad service, plus false promises, out of my list!!!
If so, this new administration is not up to the stardards it claims.

Was a very bad experience, service is awful, the concierge lady is unhelpful she doesn’t like her job, the complete place is old and not clean, service people is in bad mood all the time, the only good thing is the location because is in downtown and we can walk everywhere easy

Not welcoming

Wanted to view the property for a stay as I had concerns about the proximity to the Plaza de Armas and noise levels.

The moment I walked in, a condescending young woman playing hostess made me feel unwelcomed and told me to keep out of the way of her waiters. Wow - I'm a grown woman with a solid set of life skills which includes not impending the staff from completing their duties. The front half of the hotel is the restaurant and I wanted to see what the property has to offer because I was looking for a top notch hotel with a half-way decent pool. Before I could even decide if this was a property where I wanted to stay, the hostess chased me off telling me I wasn't allowed to look at the property.

As a female, solo traveler, it is important to me to feel comfortable and welcome when seeking accommodations and I felt neither - so, decision made. My platinum card won't be used at this Meson.

I will, instead, stay at boutique Hotel Serafin where there may not be a pool but the staff has is gracious and welcoming.
