How to Get There
We stayed at this boutique hotel and was pleasantly surprised at what a lovely hotel we found. It is across from the Puebla conference center and only minutes away from the historic Puebla area and 15 min walk to Zocalo (center city). The staff are friendly and the hotel rooms are roomy, clean and furnished with quaint, heavy wood furniture. We will return to this hotel if we return to Puebla.
The Casareyna hotel it's got it all. Good service, awesome restaurant, beautiful and big rooms, great facilities and the best spa service ever.
The rates are very good and you get a lot more for your money. Pool is very nice and private.
Have wanted to stay here on previous trips. I did a quiet walk thru of hotel peeking into the rooms. Hotel is just off the main tourist area but down a quiet street and across from a small shopping mall. Embedded around old style Mexican architecture, rooms do vary, but generally are large, clean, modern and in good repair. It's a nice property. The hotel restaurant is quite popular and often busy.
Be aware though that rooms are not cookie cutter and vary. Some rooms are around a courtyard (though with glass windows) and given amount of tile, some noise may crept in during early evening hours.
The only downside (classic for Mexican city center) is rooms may be dark (few or no windows) and this wasn't a good choice for me working from hotel rooms for entire day.
