How to Get There
I traveled with a group of friends and we stayed at the boutique hotel Casa Reyna. What a complete joy, from ease of checking-in to out final exit. The rooms were large, spotless, and modern. The baths and tubs were a pleasure. We ate dinner at the hotel, had drinks in the bar, and breakfast in the breakfast area. Every detail was attended to...the staff were gracious and accommodating. The hotel is located close to shopping, access to cultural areas, and quick Uber pick up.
I will certainly stay here again
I first stayed in this hotel about 5 years ago, since then it has more than doubled in size, but the new rooms have been sensitively added and are mainly a good size. It also now has a swimming pool, on the upper floor.
We were put, our first night there, in Room 103, which is on the ground floor, it is a large room, but rather dark, and has the disadvantage of being very noisy as it is near some traffic lights and right next door to a busy road. The next day we were transferred to three floors up, which was quieter and also had more light. Our room was modern and very comfortable, with an excellent bathroom.
We also ate at the restaurant a number of times, breakfast could be a bit chaotic, but the other meals were all excellent as was the service. By the way the Margarita with Oca Santa is wonderful.
The only minus one could add for this hotel is that if you want to be in the Historic centre, it is about a 10 minute walk away from it.
The key is in the details, and this hotel is the perfect example of it! Beautiful, traditional and modern at the same time, great location, clean and great service. Definitely one of the best hotels I have been in the city. It is definitely a worthy experience.
We found this hotel to be the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring the lovely city of Puebla. The rooms are huge, beds very comfortable, service impeccable, and the breakfasts quite adequate.
The building itself is beautifully restored and quite fun to explore. Don’t miss the rooftop running track! The restaurant was the best of all we tried in four days in Puebla and the excellent service added to a great dining experience.
Our only negatives would have to be the furnishings in our room. Although the minimalist look makes for a relaxing mental state, the furniture and bathroom set up left us with very little space to put our clothes or toiletries. Also, there was no comfortable chair in the room. Not huge problems but we would have enjoyed being able to unpack our clothes without having to put them on a shelf at floor level.
Would we stay here again? Absolutely.
This chic boutique hotel is absolutely stunning. Modern minimalistic architecture with simple and elegant Mexican decor. Everything is very well maintained and the Talavera collection is absolutely beautiful. The staff is over the top and willing to help with everything. We also loved the restaurant and had some of our best meals there. Worth every penny, can’t wait to come back.
