The Lowdown

Radiating colonial charm, this brand new hotel captures the elegance of Javanese royalty with a modern twist. Classic colonial architecture is complemented by traditional Javanese decorative tiles and elegant rattan furniture, a reflection of the city’s rich heritage. Sunlight streams in from the French doors of the balconies, flooding rooms with cheer throughout the day. Pull up a chair in your balcony and enjoy a hot cup of famous Javanese coffee while taking in the tranquil surroundings.
Whether you’re here for business or pleasure, the hotel is the perfect retreat to return to every night. It sits amidst manicured gardens, overlooking the Menoreh Hills. Breakfast takes place in the al fresco Menoreh Restaurant next to the calm pool. When I decided to have Staycation with my family, I remember Plataran Heritage Borobudur. I am so curious with this hotel and searching for the information, and we decided... yes this one for us. Away from hustle bustle Big City, Plataran heritage truly a Home for us. Since the day one, the service is excellent, Ms. Sujiani always greet us and talk to us, she is excellent. We had early check in, thank you!!! After 7 hours train ride, this is what we need... At 4 they gave us afternoon tea. The breakfast is amazing, shout out to Mr Tubagus Dede, for giving us extra dimsum chicken feet which my Husband fav and Bakpao telur asin for my lil girl. The DimSum here are amazing please go to Menoreh Resto.

If you don’t know what to do in here, well you can always go to Borobudur temple, they have free shutle btw. But, we choose to ride with VW Cabrio and it was fun... And after a hot day, you can always jump to their swimming pool or spa to refresh your energy

Room? Well excellent, I love the decor and big bed, nice pillow also. I recommend you to book this hotel... It’s worthy.

I will definetely come back soon... Thank You plataran Heritage

My first trip to Borobudur and to this hotel and I have to say I was literally treated like a king , the hotel staff were super friendly engaging and so willing to please. I used the pick up service from the airport and they were there waiting . The rooms are well appointed and beautifully decorated. If you are thinking of staying here I would highly recommend it :) no issues what so ever and really enjoyed my stay here!

Weekend gateway in Yogyakarta

I’ve chosen Plantaran Heritage Hotel because of the close proximity with Borobudur temple. it’s only 10 mins away by driving so you don’t need to wake up so early to see the sunrise. One of the big plus !!

The moment you stepped into the hotel you were greated by friendly staff and the hotel interior was simply beautiful as if you step back into the old colonial time. See my pictures below.

I also recommend the Stupa restaurant , they served authentic Indonesian food , we actually ate there lunch and dinner time ( never enough to only eat one time as we kept coming back )
And not to forget the stunning padi fields view from the restaurant as you feel so relaxing while enjoying the delicious food.

The spa service was excellent , i’ll recommend to do it after a long walk in Borobudur temple. You wil feel relax after the spa.

Special thanks to Mr. Anton Saputra as he personally drove us to see the sunrise at Punthuk Setumbu early morning on our last day as we really want to see the sunrise and couldn’t book the driver in time. It’s an excellent hospitality from him. I would say the sunrise experience was the highlight and a perfect ending to my weekend trip. Thank you for making it memorable.

Cheers,
Viv

An Oasis in Indonesia

Stayed here last August for four nights and highly recommend it. The service and staff are superb....from the front desk to the chef in the restaurant (who came out to meet us). The spa was a soothing surprise and the food was very good (although dinner at The Plantaran, a "sister hotel" to this place, is a must!!). They organized tours and activities and were ready and willing to help whenever they could!!!

Worst booking system
Reviewed 1 month ago

I have never written a review before I’ve even experienced a hotel/resort, but the reservation system is dreadful.

The initial booking timed out due to the website being slow , the money was then in limbo with my credit card company, it then did not go through.Ive now emailed the hotel with all the reservation details and my credit card number yet it takes them a full 24 hours to process a reservation.

I just hope my actual experience will be better at the Plataran , as the hotel looks stunning and reviews have been consistently good, and this will be my first visit to Indonesia and Java.I hope to write a more favourable review on my return.
