How to Get There
This is my 100th visit to a Ritz Carlton or so the record says .. The location of the hotel is excellent . Smack right in the middle of Fashion Street and within walking distance to the castle district .. across the bridge . The underground is also literary next to the hotel and offer easy access to other parts of the city . The reception staff , especially Olivia was excellent in handling a difficult issue with housekeeping specifically relating to laundry .
We sent in our laundry specifying specially that all is to be laundered . When the bill came back it was a shocker . First they computed 44 sweaters that was dry cleaned . Next they charge 4 sweaters dry cleaned when we had sent in only 1 . Then the housekeeper came in to my room and argued with me about what is dry cleaned when we specifically said laundry. Then my wife’s blouse a Vivian Tam , purported dry cleaned had colour run. So, my advise to travellers is if you can help it don’t do your laundry here . They are in a mess . To the management , if you are using a 3rd party contractor , time to change .. it is spoiling your reputation .
As lifetime Titanium member I received no room upgrade. In fact, I was placed on the lowest floor (3) and with the subway going through underneath the hotel it shook every few minutes, except until after midnight and before like 6am. Beautiful hotel and great location. Just don’t know what kind of customers get to stay in higher up floors away from street noise and tremors caused by the subway.
It’d be prob one of the worst Marriott / SPG stays in recent memory.
Fantastic hotel with good facilities in superb location as you would expect. What sets this apart though is the outstanding staff team. Genuinely friendly and efficient, with nothing being a problem, they made our stay feel really special.
This hotel is in a great location in the centre of town. It has all the facilities you would expect from a 5 star but the most outstanding feature is it’s staff or ladies and gentlemen of the ritz Carlton as they like to call them. Each member of staff we interacted with was professional, courteous and very helpful. The service was exemplary and takes this hotel to a higher category than other similar business hotels.
I stay in Budapest frequently, twenty eight already in 2019, this is my preferred hotel. From the personal greetings to the exceptional service, this is a world class hotel. The rooms are spacious and the bedding exceptional. There has been no request I have made here that has not been fulfilled,
The location is central for visitors. With St. Stephens, the Danube, and Erzsébet Square across the street, this is where to stay.
The rooms are spacious and, as I noted, the bedding is exceptional. I suggest the rooms fronting "Fashion Street" as these seem to be quieter than the ones in the front of the hotel.
As I frequently stay for business I do call room service quite often. Service in the rooms is quick and professional. In particular, I find Angela to be both efficient , professional, and delightful. Kudos to the hotel for employing such a great staff.
For me with these hotels, it is often the little things that set them apart. In this instance, it is the service, as exampled by the great men and women workers of this hotel, you are truly why i stay. Thank you.
