How to Get There
Old bets, old bathroom, everything needs to be renovated.
Very expensive restaurant with average quality food. I had burger for like 13-14€, it was worth 5€ max, not anymore.
I travel a lot, there are better 3 stars hotels and i wasn't in worse 4 stars hotel than this "5-star" hotel.
Can't recommend at all.
To get the best value for money book an executive room as this gives you access to the executive lounge with free booze and food at certain times. Only use this Monday to Friday as the hotel caters for businessmen and therefore there is no evening food at weekends. Don’t waste money on having an executive suite as the extra space is not worth the cost. I have been in both so speak from experience. The train outside , albeit a short walk , goes to Santander and there you will be spoilt for choice of bars and restaurants .
It is a pleasant hotel in a quiet location, very good for short or long stays. Although not in the city centre it is fairly easy to get there by public transport or fair priced taxi.
My special praise goes to the very friendly and helpful front desk always at your side - Thanks Emma! - makes you feel like staying among old friends.
The lobby is spacious and hosts - including the "Integrated Café House" - well-placed seating areas ideal also for business meetings that must not necessarily be held in a meeting room, the seating groups so positioned that you can talk normally and stay discreet at the same time.
Buffet breakfast is classically “structured” but offers pretty much something for everyone. Myself being vegan, I have been able to serve myself and abundant varied plate without problems.
One minor issue: room light switch cabling: some lights cannot be turned on/off individually - it is a little tedious to find which light is coupled with which other light on which switch ....
Master light switch also turns off some (not all) sockets .... should not be ...
I stayed in this hotel with my partner who is white and I'm black. Our stay was fir 3 nights 4 days. I encountered racism to the max by some staff members working in this hotel. When I complained a manager disagreed and stated that they employ staff from different nationalities and cultures. Yes, all white people are employed there, with the exception of the token black man on the concierge desk. Staff at this hotel had no manners, they abrupt, rude, arrogant especially a male receptionist called Hamed Aqlipour, he was rudeness personified. I would not recommend this hotel especially if you are in a mixed race relationship.
Married couple with the child of 7 years stayed in hotel the second time. Hotel it is far from the center of Budapest. Cleaning of the room is bad, the room is not cleaned. Normal breakfast. Lived in April, 2019 in a room 306. From number STOLE MONEY, from my purse and the husband's purse. In the total amount of 300 euros. Addressed on a reception. With us talked to the managing director and the head of security. As a result told that cannot help. Be attentive. You should not go to hotel with such personnel and the managing director. If the personnel bad that are an error of management. There is no desire the managing director to correct personnel.
