Disappointing
Reviewed 3 days ago

Real let down. First impressions are fairly good However the rooms are tired and in need of a refurb.... carpets are disgusting full of stains and very grubby. The room temperature was not adjustable and the room was 26 ° making it really difficult to sleep.
Won't be returning any time soon.

Loved it

Really, the only exception I can think of is the attitude of the breakfast lady. All of the other employees were so lovely and kind. Really made my trip to Budapest even better. Waking up in one of their baths is not the worst way to start your morning.

Nice hotel with pleasant athmosphere.
Breakfast absolutly top.
But are u sure with staff on the River bar?????!!!! Scary spectacle on the staff.
We stayed around 3 hours and got just only one drink. The lady was disoriented, tired and apparently used drugs!!!
In the nose noodles and white powder...terrible view. Really mad advertisement for you hotel!
People in the vicinity were also in shock.

Hotel in need of renovation...
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I just returned from a two night stay at the Aquincum hotel in Budapest. I found that the hotel was in dire need of renovation that is evident throughout the hotel. It was raining when I arrived and I noticed water leaking into my room from the outside. The hotel is also very understaffed. I noticed this when I ordered room service and was informed that it would take over an hour for a cup of soup and a toast to be delivered. It came over two hours later and was so over done that the bread was like concrete. On the plus side, the room was relatively clean, the internet connection was fast and the breakfast was very good.

The hotel was excellent in every way. Room was spacious and neat. Very nice location close to the public transport and nice views of the Danube, also close to Margaret island for a nice run or walk around the park. Enjoyed the breakfasts as well as the river bar with really good food.
