How to Get There
The location is perfect, on a quiet pedestrian street next to the Basilic of St Stephen. A short walk away from the river and the shopping streets. Rooms, service, staff, restaurant, all perfect. The lobby has a high tech grand piano in the center that is used for entertainment during the afternoons. Cheeses and wine go with the music for free. The hotel is very lively and cosy. They could have chosen more discreet colors for some of the upholstery but it gives the decor a touch of lightness. The bar on the top floor terrace is also a great feature with a great view and a young happy crowd. It is a rather unusual place considering that hotels in this part of the world tend towards Frankenstein Junior. Strongly recommend it. By the way the restaurant is excellent and offers a wide selection of superior local wines. The breakfast is also noteworthy.
This hotel is by far the best luxury hotel I have ever been to, and my stay was simply perfect! I had a a wonderful and spacious Aria Signature Room with city view in the Classical wing. The in-room amenities were great, I loved the sound system in particular, and the handy phone was super helpful to get around the city. Each and every member of the staff was genuinely kind and truly professional. Perfect personalized service, nothing less! Whenever I had a request, it was resolved immediately, and whatever you need, they make it happen. The wine and cheese reception is a wonderful opportunity to unwind and get ready for your evening. I loved the super hype SkyBar, and had the most delicious and unique cocktails fitting the occasion. The dinner at Satchmo's was superb, simple food made to perfection. I could go on and on... I truly felt at home, and will definitely be back as soon as possible...
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aria. We stayed in an Opera suite and it was one of the most beautiful rooms we have stayed in. The TV/ Music system was temperamental but we could live with that. The location is great and the service was excellent especially from Ben, who was charming. The pianist was excellent and one male manager was outstanding during breakfast on Sunday 17th Feb, he made sure we were very well looked after. The young female concierge was very attentive and actually checked us out very professionally and without a hitch. The breakfast was delightful as was the cheese and wine. We did go to the Sky bar and had pre- booked for valentines night. When we arrived they looked a little flustered and said they needed the table back at a set time. This was before we had ordered and so we felt a little rushed. We didn’t think the bar was very special either, but maybe it’s better in the Summer. The only other concern we had was when we checked in the receptionist charged our card £8000 plus instead £800 ish. We should have asked to see the screen but we were not given the option. As a result the card declined and it was very embarrassing. We didn’t know why it had declined and knew there was nothing on the card and we had informed them we were travelling to Budapest. We got to our room and my bank rang me as they had blocked the transaction as they thought someone was using my card. It gave me confidence in my bank. When we went to the desk and explained their mistake they didn’t apologise until I explained what embarrassment and upset it had caused. Apart from this the hotel comes highly recommended. We have used their Library Hotel in NYC and Casablanca and both were of a similar standard.
Everything you read in the reviews is true. This is hotel is just great! Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. Our room in the Jazz wing was fantastic, listening to Christophe? play the piano in the early evening from our balcony was so relaxing.
The only thing I wanted more was the ability to have a drink in the spa downstairs, but H&S sucks!
Would highly recommend this to anyone thinking of staying!
I'm a hotel snob so I dont give perfect scores very often. Peninsula Hong Kong, Le Meurice in Paris and Four Season's Landaa Giraavaru would be pretty much it. This place is way up there with these hotels. The service was impeccable. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed and the attention doesn't end until you leave. The rooms are music themed, modern, quirky and impeccable. We had a Jazz room so maybe ours was more quirky than others. The food was outstanding and the evening music, wine and cheese was a delete. We went up to the bar on the room and the views are simply breathtaking. Concierge, Perfect. Front desk, perfect. We didn't go to the spa but it also looks amazing. In terms of location it's very central and just a few blocks from the Danube. If you're going to Budapest, stay here. It's worth it across the board. If we go back we'll be staying here again.
