How to Get There
We recently stayed at the Hotel Villa Carlotta celebrating our 40th anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted by Simone who showed us up to the restaurant terrace where we were served a very nice glass of prosecco. Simone gave us a map of the area and gave us great information regarding tours, restaurants etc. We stayed in a Jr. Suite and the room was very nice, the bed comfortable. My only very small complaint was that the view from the standing only balcony was a little obscured. Breakfast was outstanding each morning on the restaurant balcony overlooking the Ionian sea with a view of Mt.Etna. It was absolutely breathtaking. We had dinner one night also and the food at the Villa Carlotta is excellent. The hotel is within walking distance to the City Centre. The staff at the hotel was very helpful with booking tours and making any dinner reservations. I would definitely recommend the Villa Carlotta as our stay was perfect. Thank you
It was an amazing hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were nice, the food was delicious. It is a good spot with the kids as well since the hotel has a beach in front. there is pool as well. I recommend to families with kids
The hotel staff is wonderful. They are friendly, courteous, and always available to help or make recommendations. Our room had a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean and was very comfortable and quiet. We slept with the window open and had no issues with noise. The breakfast was delicious with a large selection of items. I am gluten and lactose free; they even had gluten free breakfast items and almond or soy milk readily available. The hotel is beautiful and a short walk from several very good restaurants and the public gardens. It was easy to walk to the center of town in 10 minutes.
Our first visit to Sicily and certainly not our last. We booked our stay at Villa Carlotta based on the exceptional reviews, not really expecting it to meet the standards described, but it did and more. The location is great ,not far from all the action but still in a quiet position . Very comfortable rooms ,excellent restaurant with an amazing view, we ate in 3 nights out of 5, the other 2 nights in places recommended by the hotel (Maffeis and Andreas) where the food was wonderful - although eating in the hotel was no more expensive, so it was hard to make the effort to venture out. The real difference however, is made by the staff, who are without exception friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Having spent 15 years working in the hospitality industry myself it is a real treat to see such enthusiasm to maintain a well deserved reputation. We hope to visit again soon
This is a very good small hotel, with comfortable installations, very nice and attentive staff and perfect location. Breakfast is fantastic, for the variety and quality of the buffet. We used the restaurant for dinner, and it was a good experience. The room is very comfortable and well equipped, with a great view over the sea.
