How to Get There
Stayed at this resort back in July and I have no complaints. Rooms were nice, room service was good and there are many places to eat near by, the hotel even has a shuttle to take you to these restaurants. The pool was great and so was the beach. Although all of our questions were answered, the costumer service could be better. So do not expect joyful personalities. I do not let others ruin my time of leisure so that kind of stuff never bothers me, as long as I am being helped I am happy. I would definitely stay here again!
P.S. be sure to visit Pineapple Pete's Restaurant and Maho Beach (both AMAZING)
This resort is top notch . It runs like clock work from checking in to the cleaning staff/ security and just the atmosphere at this resort . I have been to many large resorts but this far out does itself compared to others. The customer service is excellent . The shuttle service the resort has is very efficient . From the time we booked with reservations until the time we checked out was a wonderful experience . There is so much to do at this resort / Please check out the amenities . I highly recommend booking this resort as it has so much to offer . the cleanliness of the entire resort is exceptional . I do hope to return in the future. If you do book direct with the resort please ask for LIlliana Brito. She really knows everything you will need to know and her customer service is awesome . Thank you to the Simpson Bay resort for making our 9 day stay a trip to remember . This was our 24th time to the island so we do have lots to compare to and we plan to return soon
We had a wonderful time here at Simpson Bay Resort. The resort is coming along beautifully. People are very accommodating. There was not one bad day there. If you get a chance to go jump on it you will not be disappointed! We just came back from there and they were getting ready for Christmas. What a great job they have done. No complaints from anybody there they are just happy to be starting again. Not everything is up and running but most things are.
It was an relaxing enjoyable weekend
The Service was amazing
La petrona restaurant on property food was excellent. The pool the view everything was great for me. Come and experience a wonderful time at SBR
We had some issues, but nothing that would stop me from staying here again. The room they assigned us on check in was on the 4th floor. Since I have some mobility issues, we asked if it had an elevator, and were told yes. However when we got to the building every elevator (3 of them) was broken and marked out of order. Back to the check-in center we went, and were told there was no other room available. We asked to speak to a manager. He finally came out after about 30 minutes. We were told we couldn’t get another room until the next day. They did move us to a first floor unit, which we really appreciated. When we got to the new unit, the toilet seat was broken and hanging halfway Off the toilet. (Supposedly the unit was just cleaned). Called maintenance. This was about 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Nobody came. We called the next morning and requested again that someone replace the toilet seat. Finally got replaced in the afternoon. The door had a 1-1/2 inch gap underneath and we were getting gnats and tiny mosquitoes. ( No See’Ums they call them). My wife was getting chewed up from mosquitoes. We called maintenance and asked if someone could spray the room. Nobody came until the next day. We had to put a towel by the door to keep them from coming in. We did an exchange through II to stay here ( which is information they have) indicating that we already owned at least one timeshare. You would think they’d be trying harder to accommodate us so that we would interested in buying there. It didn’t happen. I realize you’re on “island time”and things move slower. But 24 hours to get a toilet seat or bug spray is disappointing.
I think some of the reviews are inflated by people who already on timeshares here.
