Lovely stay

We had a room without a view at this hotel. To be honest unless you are staying on the promenade ,don’t waste your money on view. Whilst not on the promenade , the location is great. Close to lots of shops/cafes. Only a 2 min walk to centre. Rooms are large, modern and clean with fabulous bathroom. Breakfast is plentiful and although not much in the way of hot food , the fresh fruit , vegetables, meats , cheeses and cakes make up for it. Rooms are v quiet with soundproof walls. Only drawback is that there are no beach towels available

Wrong property booked. Wrong Margherita, both on Italian Rivera on Roma street. My mistake. Tried to cancel ahead of time, when I noticed directions and routing to the wrong place. Hotel too uncaring and inflexible. Karma has a way of coming around.

Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful hotel!

I had considered booking the Santa Margherita Palace before booking an older waterfront view hotel for the same price. We were very disappointed upon arrival to the waterfront hotel, so we were fortunate to be able to switch to the Santa Margherita Palace instead. We are a family of 5 so we had to book 2 rooms. Our 3 adult children stayed in the main building in the 3Pax Junior suite which included Spa access. The room was large with a king or queen bed and a pull out sofa bed. My husband and I stayed in the Executive Double also in the main building which included a large balcony with a Spa Tub. The lovely view was of the Santa buildings and the balcony was spacious, relaxing, and enjoyable. A delicious breakfast was included and was served in their modern and beautiful dining room. I highly recommend staying here as opposed to one of the older more basic hotels along the waterfront.

Poor Sleep

If I can’t get to sleep there is something wrong. Even the shutters don’t block the constant noise from road traffic. So much for the sea view as your balcony with shutters hang over the road.
Then let’s speak of the marble corridors that resound with echo has of every sound and the scraping of furniture from above and voices from adjoining rooms.

The hotel echos back to a by gone era of elegance with a beach garden that is not too easily accessed by those not to mobile. Good for a one night stay to see the area but certainly not relaxing

Excellent, constant standard

This our 4th or 5th stay at Santa Margherita Palace. Everything was excellent as usual, room, breakfast, and we were very pleased. The personnel are very obliging. Nice that the standard stays high year after year. Minor improvement points: not enough coat hangers in the junior suite, vallet parking and luggage coordination at checkout, such that the whole process took 45 min. But they were not significant enough to dent the overall experience. Good job Santa Margherita Palace team!
