Executive suites

We decided to stay in the Executive suite of the Santa Margherita Palace Hotel which is located about 500 meters from the Hotel. We only visited the “Hotel” twice on our stay, but the suite on the the second level was fantastic. It had its own small kitchenette two bathrooms and two bedrooms

Conveniently located to the centre of town, the train station and free parking (if you can get one) right outside the building

The staff at the Hotel when asked upon were friendly and prompt.

Great place to visit if you are a pack of 4 with a 🚗

A decent hotel, though definitely not 5-star

We stayed two nights at this hotel as part of a journey around Liguria. The hotel has a convenient location close to the train station. It is located in one of the back streets. There is no sea view, but there’s easy access to the sea front and the old town. The staff was very friendly.
As it was raining the day we were there, I thought about using the steam bath. We were guided to the spa area that is located in a different building. Only there we were told that the fee for using the steam bath and the sauna is EUR 37 per person. Hello, you call your hotel Palace and claim to be 5-star and then you charge additional EUR 37 for steam room access.
And that’s the problem with this hotel. It claims to be a 5-star hotel and rises expectations, but it is definitely not 5-star. Were they honest and claimed to be 4-star, I would give them four or even five points.
However, from a 5-star hotel I expect a bit more. There was no complimentary water in the room (and their minibar prices are nuts), no choice of tea, no turndown service, the wifi reception is rather instable, there is no real orange juice at breakfast (ok, on the second day, I found out that you had to order it. Why is it not proactively offered?). In our booking, I asked for a room with two single beds, we got a room with a rather small queen size bed, no apology or explanation given.

Fabulous Hotel very close to everything

A very beautiful hotel within two blocks of the shoreline and very close to the train station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is very modern and clean. The breakfast buffet was the best we had during our two weeks discovering Italy. Valet parking was a breeze and Santo seemed to always be on duty and was very quick with our luggage and car. The best part of our stay was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. Particularly at the front desk. We needed assistance in paying a toll on line and the website was very confusing and all in Italian. Paola took care of helping us get it done. Grazie.

Really good hotel with high standard

We rented a 3 bedroom flat only 5 minutes from the beach. Really high standard including modern and up to date bathrooms. The kitchen and living room were very spacious with all necessary equipment. We can really recommend this hotel!

Excellent but smaller hotel in convenient location.

Excellent hotel with reasonable rate and very service oriented staff. We had a two rooms, one a suite for my wife and I and another room for our adult children traveling with us. We were even provided a box breakfast for our departure before the breakfast opened. Only complaint was the bed in the suite was long overdue for replacement.
