How to Get There
Design hotel ideally located at the harbour, one minute walking distance from a metro station in a super nice New York style neighbourhood.
Super nice design and comfortable room with a bottle of water and a nespresso machine.
Outgoing, nice and helpful staff.
Awesome breakfast suitable for vegetarians.
This is a very modern hotel with some good views over the Erasmus bridge and the water. I stayed 6 nights and explored the city's Museums and exhibitions using the trams and Metro. Wilhemena Metro Station is almost directly opposite the hotel. Rotterdams Metro System is excellent apart from one thing........The Stations are unmanned and the ticket machines are EXTREMELY difficult to operate because they seem to presume that you only want to top up an Oyster type card.
The hotel Staff were very good indeed, particularly at Reception and Breakfast.
The only negatives that I had about the hotel were the fact that the windows were too narrow and the window frames too wide in many of the public areas. This marred what would have been a spectacular view over the bridge.
The only other drawback to the hotel was the lack of storage space in the bedrooms. It was almost non existent. Okay for a one or two night stay but very poor for much longer than that. It wasnt as though the room was too small.........bedrooms were a great size.
The hotel was housed in a building with an iconic design but there were lots of tell tale signs that it hadn't been purpose built as a hotel.
I have been to Rotterdam many times on business but had no chance to try this hotel. This trip I did. And was disappointed. I had skipped lunch and travelled from Brielle hoping to have a bite at the Nhow. I was shown to a table by the waiter but after waiting for nothing for 10 minutes I left. But, to be fair as this could be an exception, all the staff at the reception were fantastic. Next morning I checked out.
The hotel was in good location right beside the Erasmus Bridge.
The service was good but still have more room to be improved.I was late check-in and seem they’ve run out of slippers. So I had to naked my feet on the solid wooden floor. What’s worse, I called for battery converter long before I fall asleep. The staff knocked my door impolitely. And I hardly fall asleep again.
Good point is on the next day when I got up early and felt like drinking coffee. A very adorable staff let me into the restaurant and I could got my free coffee there.
Overall it’s a brand new hotel though and it need to have a better training and experience more situations of hospitality to get a better outcome.
We enjoyed our stay great room, breakfast and location. Minuscule gym and pricey parking but the worst thing was a party in our neighbouring room and the hallway that ran from midnight to 5am. Repeated calls and a visit to the lobby didn’t seem to help. I just don’t under stand why they weren’t kicked out quickly. In frustration we asked to move rooms but it wasn’t granted.
