How to Get There
I stayed for 4 nights with a party from work. The stay was relaxing and enjoyable. I had the basic room, but it was large, clean and comfortable. I had a sliding door onto a balcony and even though I didnt hve a view of the ocean, I could hear the waves and see palm trees swaying in the wind. The resort sits right on the ocean and has a nice beach of sand and others rocky shore. You can walk for a mile to the north along the beach on a trail and a few miles south on a sandy trail. I had some nice trail runa and snorkeling right outside the hotel was good too. While snorkeling I saw sea turtles, an eel, and various colorful fish. The food at the hotel was quality and no boring. I often rate hotels a lot by the quality of gym since I travel so much. This one had a great gym with free and stationary weights and plenty of cardio machines. The pool is huge and has plenty of chairs around it. A truly nice stay!
The hotel is beautiful with landscaping and palm trees on the ocean side, the fountain in front and orchids everywhere. We enjoyed snorkeling in the lagoon. Our room had a great balcony for sitting, reading, and although a partial view, had a great view of the grounds, pool and ocean. We thought the food could have been better, esp. for the price. We ate 2x at the Hale Kai restaurant and had breakfast at the Orchid Court. The luau could have been more authentic, again at that price. The Concierge was very helpful in planning the rest of our island tour. Overall we had fun and enjoyed our stay.
Great services and pool area for a Hawaiian resort. Rooms are great and so is the help. Food is good and the coffee shop has very inexpensive food for a resort. Breakfast was free for our room. The car parkers were very good and you can call to get the car. It was always waiting.
The hotel was as expected, staff was very welcoming. The grounds are well kept. My room was in perfect condition, the set up was great. The brunch needs some improvement, I was not happy with the bacon, and potatoes. I did enjoy the fruit.
We had a great session with Pacific Dreams while staying for a wonderful week at the Fairmont Orchid to attend a wedding. The beach shots are everything you hope for in an ideal family photo shoot. Booking was super easy- they were very accommodating. Loryn who helped us select our photos was so lovely- she even came in early on the day we had to check out. What a great experience!
