Upscale hideaway on stunning Providenciales, two minutes from the beach

The Lowdown

Find a tranquil and restful retreat in The Oasis at Grace Bay, an all-suites resort tucked away on Turks and Caicos’ beautiful Providenciales. With apartment-style furnishings, a Grace Bay Village locale and a setting just a block and a half from the beach, each abode here is like its own tropical home, an ideal place to live, dine and hide away like a carefree islander. It comes complete with all the necessities, from a kitchen to a washer and dryer, so you’ll never have to leave. Except, of course, to make a grocery run to the steps-away market.
But even once you’ve stocked your fridge with snacks and drinks, you’ll return to the scenic outdoors anyway – and when you do, you’ll notice that it’s nice and somewhat secluded here, too. In fact, the relative lack of crowds and the feeling that you’ve hit upon a hidden treasure, undiscovered and unspoiled, are the reasons that Grace Bay’s beach has been voted the single best in the world (by Huffington Post, no less). Enjoy this on a snorkeling, diving, parasailing or kite surfing excursion, perhaps spotting friendly JoJo the dolphin. Who said isolation wasn’t splendid?

Feel like an islander in these apartment-style oases. A full-sized kitchen, living space, washer and dryer apiece are just a few of the touches that make each suite feel like your own beach home, though the views of the tropical surroundings don’t hurt. Two Bedroom suites offer your choice of staying on the ground or second floor, as well as a spacious balcony, master suite with a king bed and an en-suite bathroom, plus a second bedroom and a bathroom accessible from the living area. The more-spacious Luxury suites offer a king bed and an en-suite bathroom in each bedroom, plus even higher-end features, such as a larger balcony.

 – Complimentary Wi-Fi- Stainless-steel gas stove- Microwave- Dishwasher- Refrigerator- 55-in. flat-screen TVs in bedrooms and living room- Ceiling fan- iPod dock- Air conditioning- Safe

On the northern end of Providenciales, Grace Bay is home to the world’s single most beautiful beach, according to Huffington Post in 2014. It also houses the shops at Regent Village, as well as a long coral reef, ideal for divers. Offerings like the world’s first conch farm and the plantation-house ruins at Cheshire Hall and Richmond Hill further set this island apart from other tropical destinations, as does the presence of JoJo the friendly dolphin, who’s known to seek out human company on occasion.

Utterly delightful

We stayed there for 10 days and wanted longer.

Our apartment was above the welcoming reception area, but could've been tucked far away. No unwanted noise or interruptions, but close enough to ask questions when needed.

The staff were friendly, professional and helpful without being intrusive.

The apartment was spacious, elegant and practical. It was our place but the staff made it nice each day; like a hotel room but without the feeling that you needed to escape. This room felt like home.

Yes Oasis is a little further from the beach than the beach front resorts. However, the walk to the beach revealed beautiful trees and plants, reptiles and bird life. The golf buggy journey was always fun but wasn't essential. Top tip - walk to the beach from the Crescent (through the main gates) and not the buggy route. It's much nicer - and you get to walk along the beach up to the Oasis loungers.

The one pool day we had was delicious and showed that the Oasis was just that. It felt calm and the cushioned loungers, day bed and hammock were perfect.

Given the price difference between the beach front resorts and Oasis, I can only praise the experience provided at this place. The compromises ( lack of immediate proximity to the beach and restaurantlessness) were dwarfed by the tranquility, luxurious feel, friendliness and welcoming feel of Oasis.

I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Small with no amenities but close to things

No management on site to address issues, problem with our guaranteed late check out that was prepaid not being honoured Lots of noise between units at all hours and with no management on site no way to address. Booked November 2017 with late check out request for2 pm, request was confirmed on reservation ..called to make sure after 4 emails not responded to....called again in February...all set ....upon arrival I was told it was not noted...no manager to confirm....front desk called after we were asleep to advise we would have to check out early,...that was after 10 pm...in the morning, no one was at reception....waited several minutes and showed the staff the confirmation....they still had to call a manager ...showed up at our door at 11:10 saying the best they could do was noon....tried to tell us although our reservation was confirmed it really wasn't.....sadly this is the reason we booked here and left us out of options for the day and groceries wasted ...no apology..no reasonable negotiation it is likely an okay place to stay if you are able to check in late day and check out early morning

good but not great

- lower price point for Grace Bay, excellent value for what you get
- clean modern rooms, large, new with anything you can want or need!
- efficient service
- super quiet and cozy (only 9 rooms)
- free bike rental and buggy rides to beach

- it is much further walk to beach than I was able to determine while researching.
- buggy ride helps get to the beach but is not ideal. on several occasions we spent too much time waiting for buggy
- very small pool
- not that you should expect any water sports activity for the price but it was a bit of a bummer not having access to kayak, surfboards or hobies that the larger properties nearby do offer for free (but those rooms are more expensive too. so you get what you pay for)

great choice in provo

i just returned from a late april to early may stay at the oasis. the grounds are beautiful & well maintained. the property is small, which i prefer. this was a splurge for me (i’m more independent traveler, airbnb type than resorty) & it was a really relaxing vacation. the staff are very nice and when i has an issue with the room (power related & not typical) they were attentive. i felt safe there by myself. there are gates with codes at night & i felt safe walking in the area alone. the walk to the beach is pretty quick & they can also shuttle via golf cart. the apartment had things i appreciated already there - soaps, dishwashing liquid & soap, detergent for the laundry, coffee filters, paper towels, some containers for leftovers. it is definitely an expensive island, but being able to make meals helped. i didn’t rent a car & did fine with walking & biking (the bikes didn’t have lights though & i didn’t like going too far with them at night) but i also knew i didn’t want to do much besides go to the beach. definitely a great deal in comparison to other places to stay in the area.

Outstanding small hotel in Turks and Caicos

This place truly is a hidden gem/oasis! Only two years old, it is located in the beautiful Grace Bay resort area, and while not directly on the beach, it is a short walk (or golf cart ride) to their private beach area. There are also bikes available to use during the day, including child bikes and tandem bikes.
The staff are all knowledgeable and exceedingly friendly. Elwood, Nev and Bev were all superb - helpful and always willing to go the extra mile.
The rooms are very clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. A full kitchen, including washer and dryer are part of the rooms. The grounds and pool are well cared for.
We had a truly fabulous stay in the Turks and Caicos, and the Oasis at Grace Bay helped make it as such! HIGHLY recommend this place!
