Very pretty grounds

The property itself was very clean and well maintained. Beautiful flowers everywhere. Our room was always clean and made up. Nice pools and jacuzzi to just sit and relax in and the beach is amazing! We ate on the property only three times (breakfast only once, more on that later). The food was good but the service was a bit slow. We were a party of five adults, my wife and I along with three other friends. The one evening we ate at the restaurant they seemed to have a little difficulty separating out the bill 4 ways. Shouldn’t be THAT difficult, it’s only math. The time we ate lunch on property was after a storm had knocked out power to the entire island for 6 hours! I thought the staff did an amazing job of preparing what they could without full power but when it came time to settle the bill they really struggled. Again, it’s only math and shouldn’t make it a 2+ hour lunch! Now about breakfast. The five of us were there for scuba diving with a daily pickup of 8:00am. Breakfast did not start until 7:30 making it impossible to order, eat and then pay in time to make our pickup. Something to just grab and go would have been nice and easy without putting the hotel, restaurant or staff to too much trouble. Simple pastries, fruit, bagels....ANYTHING would have gone a long ways towards satisfying the hungry beasts about to disappear under the sea.

Another great stay and welcome return. We were upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom which was really nice. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. It’s amazing how beautiful the flowers and gardens are but you can understand as they are constantly working on them even when it’s raining. Weather fabulous, best happy hour in Grace Bay. Myla, Peter, Y-Jay, Rommel thank you. The whole team thank you. One of the best beaches in the world. We will be back!

Extremely Helpful Staff

The staff was helpful in every way making our stay memorable. We picked a room with only a kitchenette since we didn't need a lot of room. We did have a washer and dryer, big plus there. The balcony was huge with a beautiful view of the ocean. We were in building 2. Our son's family was in Building 3 with a separate bedroom and view. That was beautiful also. They had the full kitchen.

We wanted to rest and enjoy the ocean and pool so we ate most of our meals at the Pelican Bay Restaurant on property. We did go to the store and pick up snacks and breakfast stuff. I would suggest that you stop at the store on the way to the resort to save time.

People at the front dest including the bellman were extremely helpful in our getting information of places to go to and how to work the TV. We got take-away one night so that we could enjoy the balcony view and still hear the music from the bar. Things do quiet down early though.

we ordered pizza from the restaurant near the pool area and they told us to go to our room they’d call us it would be a 10 minute wait. firstly we waited far 10 minutes for our pizza, we took about 5 minutes in the room before recieving another call saying “YOUR PIZZA IS GETTING COLD” and then we slammed the phone when we went to get our pizza we complained to the lady that took our order and the lady that called the room the second time was walking back and forth laughing as if it was funny and no one apologized to us. i don’t recommend you going here if you’re black.

A piece of island paradise
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We just stayed at Royal West Indies (again) and continue to be amazed at this piece of paradise in Turks and Caicos. This cozy upscale tropically lush resort sits on one of the finest beaches in the world with crystal clear turquoise water. The weather is phenomenal every day and so is the staff helping care for you. There are multiple pools with a quiet botanical pool next to a water feature and hot tub then a pool next to the excellent restaurant and bar. You feel like you are on an island rather than in some larger sterile resort you can find anywhere. The only bad part of the stay is knowing you have to eventually go back home.
