Beautiful grace bay beaches
Reviewed 8 hours ago

After 10 years of marriage my wife and I decided to go on a honeymoon/vacation; and after several choices we settled with Royal west Indies in Grace bay beach.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a huge smile From the front desk and taken to our room. We had the ocean view king bed studio. It was thew wrong room initially, but the next day we were moved to the correct room. When we first walked to the beach we were overwhelmed with the beauty of the beach and how clear and blue the water was. We immediately went to the beach and walked around and enjoyed the water. Our stay was from 7/7-7/13, and we enjoyed EVERY minute.

If you’re going out to eat I highly recommend trying all the local restaurants in the area, specifically coco van which is across the street 5 minute walk, and bella luna pizzeria which is located down the street in the popular tourist strip and salt mills area. The fish fry which is held every Thursday by local vendors who are selling food and souvenirs is HIGHLY recommended by my wife and I; and also be prepared to pay the gratuity in the checks automatically. Since tourism is the main source of income in Providenciales the tax is 12%, but dont let it deter you from visiting this beautiful island. The pelican bay restaurant located in the resort was very good but after a day or so you will want to venture off and eat elsewhere.

The staff including housekeeping were all very nice and made my wife and I feel welcomed. There is a grocery store approximately 10minutes walking from the resort, which is a lil expensive; but if you rent a car i recommend you go to the other store on the main highway.

Driving there was very entertaining because it was on the opposite side of the road like in England. It took me about 1 hr and i was driving like i had been doing that my entire life. There are NO traffic lights on the entire island, just roundabouts and a few stop signs lol.

Our room had a beautiful ocean view from the second floor. The pictures from online dont do the rooms justice. They’re actually VERY nice and modern and have a nice bathroom. They all come with microwave and coffee pot and fridge unless you get the suite which has full kitchen. Going out to eat everyday can get expensive lol. We had wristbands which held our keys so when we were in the beach which i was 98% of the time, I didn’t worry about losing them lol.

When you do get a chance to go off the resort to eat, make sure u get to sharkbite restaurant which sits in turtle cove bay. Its on the water and has AWESOME food. I truly enjoyed the jerked grouper sandwich there while my vegan wife ate a veggie wrap which she loved as well. The beers i drank were the local turks head brewery craft beers. They have an amber ale, lager, and an IPA. All three beers were great!!; but I preferred the amber ale the most.

We went snorkeling which you can get info about from the excursion desk located in the front lobby. Everybody there was so helpful and all willing to go the extra mile. I encountered one person who had no enthusiasm for their job while ate the resort; but that person didn’t ruin my trip.

Overall I highly recommend going to this island and also going to this resort. My wife and I are planning on going back in about 5 years when the kids are a bit older. The resort was kid friendly and not overpopulated with kids so if you have any, feel free to bring them; but be ready to watch them yourself lol.

Fantastic Oceanfront Resort

Great place to stay everything is amazing. We were in building 1 oceanfront. The suite is spacious and very clean. The beach is amazing one of the best in the world you can stay in the water all day. The grounds and pools are absolutely amazing and the view from the room was amazing. You could see the entire beach both ways and the sunset view was awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great restaurant on site also and the resort has great WiFi from the room and on the beach. The resort has free parking and you are located on Grace Bay Road with very short walk to the casino. Wonderful Vacation.

Fantastic condo/hotel-oceanview
Reviewed 1 week ago

We booked an oceanview 1 bedroom condo thru Expedia ($1k additional for oceanview). They would not let us check-in until 3pm. They gave us a condo on the 2nd floor of building 3 which had absolutely no view of the ocean, even from the balcony and the thermostat was set on 77 (hot). We called and they immediately put us in the condo we paid for on the 3rd floor in building 4, room had ac on and was felt great.

We had a great view of the ocean, quiet pool, main pool and restaurant. The furniture was beautiful, modern amd very tasteful. We had a full kitchen, washer/dryer, Kohler soaking tub, nice tvs in bedroom and livingroom. Lots of windows with beautiful shutters. Loved this room!

Hotel is on in a great place on Grace Bay (nice area). Hotel staff was nice, but we did have to ask for things that most US hotels would offer, like pool towels. They were between pool and beach and the staff was rude and only wanted to give 1 per person but gave 2 when we asked. Small towels so did not cover half the lounger.

3 pools were great! There were plenty of chairs by the pools and ready on the beach with umbrellas included in our stay.

No ac at restaurant, but food was excellent. Happy hour 1/2 drinks everyday 5-7pm. Would love to stay at Royal West Indies again!
