Well located for grocery shopping and local eateries, and just a short drive from Grace Bay Beach, Venetian Ridge Vacation Villas is a no-frills, wallet-friendly sleep that’s geared toward families and couples alike. This inland collection of condo-style villas makes guests feel like homeowners, with the added convenience of an on-site concierge office. The beautifully landscaped property also features special touches like a portable barbecue, beach chairs and sun umbrellas for use during your stay, and a spa pavilion and pool are in the works for late 2014. At 587 square feet, Deluxe Two-Bedroom Villas are on the simple side, but they’re great for families, featuring a full kitchen and dining area (which will come in handy, since there’s no restaurant on-site).
In the Area
You’ll need a rental car to make the most of Providenciales Island’s stunning beaches, but Venetian Ridge is just a short drive from the white sand and turquoise waters of Grace Bay. Taylor Bay and Chalk Sound are farther afield but well worth the journey. Swing your clubs at the Provo Golf Club; the challenging and beautifully landscaped course is the only one in Turks and Caicos (look out for flamingos in the lakes). Hungry? Hit Da Conch Shack, which, while a bit on the touristy side, is a must for mollusk lovers with such offerings as conch salad, conch fritters, conch chowder and more. Or ditch your pool lounger and trot along Long Bay Beach on horseback; it’s one of the best ways to take in the vista of white sand and turquoise water. Riders of all skill levels can participate; long pants are strongly suggested.
How to Get There
We just got back from a week stay at the Kokomo, June 3rd thru June 10th. To say that it was heaven on earth it’s not even justifiable. OMG!!! When we arrived we were greeted by Michael and immediately we found that we were in the right place. I saw other reviews before booking our vacation and I realized that every single person had nothing but the best to say about the staff and this place. Every day we were accompanied by Michael, Jason and Osnor. Whether we were at the beach or at the pool or if we needed anything they were always there for us. 8 AM to 5 PM they are at the beach making sure you have towels making sure you have an umbrella and making sure you’re staying hydrated with water and spraying your skin so you you don’t get burned. Wow ! That service is beyond five star service. I have been on many vacations and this I must say was definitely one of the best. The island itself is kind of expensive so be prepared to spend some money, there is a local grocery store you can buy food drinks water anything you may need. A 24 pack of Corona is $69.99, just an idea of how expensive thing are there. It was a very great experience to visit Turks and Caicos and my husband and I already miss it. Keep up the great work guys! The hotel is ran by its employees and this hotel shows how much the employees care about their guests. Thanks again Michael, Jason and Osner . Hope to see you in the near future.
This small resort is a 5 minute ride to Grace Beach, and excellent restaurants. Bungalow has two bedrooms but is too small for 2 couples, perhaps 3 people sharing one bathroom. The staff was superior in seeking to make our week perfect. Osnar was always helpful, smiling and friendly, as were Jason and Michael.
My family vacationed at The Kokomo’s ‘s Botanical Resort last week, May 18-25. What a fabulous time we had. Would like to thank all the staff for making our trip so awesome. The Resort was beautiful and very clean. From the moment we arrived until our last day, everyone was helpful and professional. I would especially like to thank our butler, Osnar for all his efforts in making everyday so special. He was professional, knowledgeable, kind, funny, and very attentive to all our needs. Just ask Osnar, and you will receive. His coworkers Jason and Michael were awesome as well. They were right there for us assisting with our day excursions, dining options, and entertainment. We felt like kings and queens in paradise. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a truly relaxing vacation!!!
The concierge service makes all the difference at this place. Upon arrival it seemed quite small and unexciting but it turned out to be the PERFECT place for us. Jason, Michael and Osnar are so attentive, pleasant and helpful you really wonder why other resorts haven’t snatched them up as employees. The place is much nicer than the photos. They really do care about the fauna and trees etc and tell you what each does and even make water available with Lemongrass, pomegranates, morninga-all found on site. The pool is open and sunny with little shade unlike the online photos. The hot tub is nestled in the corner and there is generous seating in all areas whether cabana, lounge chairs, outdoor canopied sofas, gaslight fire tables with seating etc. Jason helped us with home made s’mores over the fire. The rooms are perfectly adequate and stocked with anything you need. There is a shuttle that takes you to their little private stretch of beach at grace bay. Again, the concierge will do anything you ask to make you comfortable there too. You are given cell phones for communication with them and they answer straight away (make sure you learn how to answer, accidentally kept hanging up when swiping wrong!) the housekeeper was excellent and attentive to any requests. First night we got pizza pizza and then went to the grocery store. Be prepared the food is VERY expensive. Avocados were 3.85 each! Cucumbers were 4.25! It really makes sense just to eat out we learned. Overall we had a wonderful time at Kokomo and the patience they showed my mother (needs a walker) and anticipating her needs was so appreciated. We really felt welcome and cared for and that is what a vacation should be all about. Thanks Kokomo! Ps. You really should have a mirror in the bedrooms or somewhere else besides the bathroom. Four ladies getting ready is hard with only one-just a suggestion.
We met Osnor the first day! He had drinks ready for us & cool towels for after our flight! Very professional, super kind & sweet. An asset to Kokomo! He was extremely helpful, brought us to many places, gave us directions, he was even our photographer for the week! Personable, funny! We fortunately got to know him on a personal level, and he has become not just a friend, but a part of our family! It was hard to leave such a fabulous place, not just because of the amazing weather & beautiful turquoise water, but because of the bond we had created with him! We are thankful to have been so lucky to have such a caring person to take care of us!
