How to Get There
This review is for the hotel. We stayed 6 nights and was a really nice place to stay, close to Disney, lot of nice pools, people were nice and overall a very good experience. Food was a little over priced but good. Could have used more food service going around the pool during the week.
However, when asking advice from the concierge about things to do while in Orlando, all we got was a sales speech and they wanted us to go on a 90 minute sales talk to receive discount to parks, discounts on return visits to their hotel, etc. We didn't come on vacation to buy property. They need an impartial person there who can advocate on behalf of their guests and do legwork to help families find things to do in the area, find coupons/discounts, be a person interested in the guest not just in what Wyndham wants aka get people to buy timeshares and condos.
Upon leaving I asked if there were any discounts they would give us if we returned. Once again sent us to the "sales" desk which were of no help. We left not feeling really appreciated after staying 6 nights considering this was a full service hotel and not a budget hotel.
Would we go back...probably, simply because we liked the location and pools, but the Hilton across the street is also an excellent choice with much better concierge service.
The Wyndham Resort was a wonderful place to stay for our Disney vacation! All the employees were courteous and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. I particularly want to mention the friendliness and professionalism of the shuttle bus drivers from the resort to the various Disney parks. While all the drivers were great, Nelson was exceptional!
I stayed at the Bonnet Creek resort last week for exactly 1 week with my family. When we first got there it seemed really nice and the staff that helped us with our bags and to get checked in were friendly. The rest of the week, however, was horrible. My little brother asked one of the staff members that was taking out the trash if she knew what time the pool closed today and she didn't even look his way and said no with a huge attitude and kept on moving. We stayed in tower 1 and the gym equipment was all out of order except for one treadmill. It seemed like every time we asked a staff member about one of their amenities they had an attitude or was very short with us. Not the best experience at all.
Business brought me here, but if I needed someplace to stay near Disney, this would be the place (and I've been to many places near Disney). It's very convenient from the interstate and close to Disney properties. I interacted with probably 6 or 7 staff during the couple days I was there and each was pleasant and knowledgeable!
The layout of my room was great (and this was a "basic" room). Plenty of work space, more plugs and charging ports than you could fill, a nice size and nicely appointed bathroom, and comfortable bed.
Brought my kids here for a weekend at Disney. They were AMAZED. Beautiful, clean room. Friendly staff everywhere we looked. Amazing view from our 11th floor balcony overlooking the pool. Wish we would've had more time to spend enjoying the hotel honestly. Will definitely be back and have already recommended to friends and family.
