How to Get There
We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our holiday to Florida. After being disappointed with the hotel we originally were staying in we thought that we’d treat ourselves to staying at the Dolphin.
The hotel was really clean and tidy and had a nice smell as you walked in. We arrived early (around 11) and we were able to check in and get our room! Our room was spacious and bright and had such a lovely view. The hotel is a short walk from Epcot which was great being able to walk back after the fireworks rather than relying on buses! The pool was amazing and the poolside attendants were great and very helpful! A lovely resort well worth a visit. The hotel doesnt have a magical express to the airport. Instead they charge around 20 dollars each. You are better ordering an uber or lyft.
The only minor issue was that the wardrobe door was not on the hinges and actually fell on top of me whilst I was putting my luggage in the wardrobe.
I would like to start this off my saying, that our stay at the Dolphin side resort, was good and bad at the same time. First of all, I have been reading more reviews and I feel communication from front desk is lacking BAD. When my family and I first came and checked in, YES long wait time. But, when we checked in the lady was so awesome and very helpful. We stayed at this hotel for 7 sleeps and I found that through that time we were gotten, for example, our room needed clean. Mind you, we went on this plan to have housekeeping every three days, but we still needed to ask front desk or housekeeping for towels, soap, est. Anyways, I felt like a burden when I would ask for these things. Also, when I would call front desk nothin would be done what I have requested. All in all, I just feel y'all need to communicate better, and that your employers need to understand that we (customers) spent a lot of money at your resort. I'm from Canada and the currency is a lot to change.

We had just the best service upon checking out. Rob Deck provided our bellhop services and he was a shinning light for our family. The Dolphin resort is lucky to have him as a cast member. We didn’t meet a friendlier staff member during our stay. 5 stars Rob!
After 5 days at another property, my family of 4 booked The Dolphin at the end of our Disney trip to be closer to Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
Our room was on the main lobby level and we were worried it would be loud, but it was really quiet and we all slept well. The only noise we heard early in the morning was from birds and ducks.
The room layout was nice with plenty of storage and we loved having the shower area separate from the sink. With a family of 4 in one room it was a nice touch. There were plenty of comfy pillows and the big flatscreen TV with built in apps like Netflix was a nice to have.
Getting to Epcot and Hollywood Studios was a breeze and a huge bonus for this hotel. We waited about 5 minutes for the boat to and from the park, which saved a lot of time vs. a bus or uber and the walk to the park entrance was much shorter.
We paid extra for the balcony fireworks view room. If you book this type of room specifically for the view it isn't worth it. See a photo of one of the best fireworks shots from our balcony. We traveled in June and it was really hot, but during a cooler time of year I would pay extra for the balcony, just don't expect a fireworks view.
At check in our check in our room wasn't ready until almost 5:30pm so we were given a late checkout of 2pm. This was perfect since we didn't need to leave the hotel until 1:45pm to get to the airport. We spent the morning swimming and eating lunch before heading up to pack, but the hotel deactivated our keys around the 11am checkout time so it took extra time to get back into our room.
Overall I would stay here again to get to and from the parks with ease and the comfortable room. It isn't luxurious but for the Disney area it is a decent value. We did feel like we paid more of a deluxe room rate for the fireworks balcony view, which was a waste, but could stay for less next time knowing what we know now.
5 nights at this lovely property. View was fantastic, room was clean and well-appointed. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable vibrating noise coming from behind the panel under the air vent. It hummed even when the AC was turned off. Maintenance came by twice to examine it and I was told that it could not be remediated. I asked for a room change but they were unable to accommodate my request. They could not provide a white noise machine, but they did give me ear plugs for several nights. No offer to reduce room rate, provide credit for resort services, or award extra points to Marriott account. I do not plan to return to this property.
