How to Get There
This was our 5th trip to Universal theme parks but our first experience at Royal Pacific. We stayed for one night to take advantage of the Express Pass offerings. Previously we have stayed at Cabana Bay and been quite happy with the experience but I must say Royal Pacific goes above and beyond our expectations. Every employee we encountered was very helpful and pleasant. The valet guys out front took time to bring us to another hotel for dinner when we missed the dining shuttle. Concierge was helpful directing us to different amenities both at the hotel and the park. The boat service to/from the park was a great added benefit that we took advantage of after a long day of walking. Our room was spotless and the shower was great. My only small complaint would be the comfort of the beds. Both myself and my husband thought the bed was hard and uncomfortable and not up to the standard of the rest of the resort. Having experienced a Premier resort the service, benefits, comfort and atmosphere can not be beat. We will definitely make a return trip sometime in the future.
Getting in the parks early was good other than that not really worth staying here. Maybe Portofino would of been better. The club level I don't think even came close to my expectations but maybe I wanted to much.
Hotel is average, cleanliness was average. Sheets/blanket had stain, tile grout is dirty, corners in the bathroom not cleaned, faucet handle came off in my hand. Beds were made, towels were replaced, and the garbage was taken out for housekeeping. We stay at several hotels and they are all very similar to me, that's why this is average, stayed in better and stayed in some worse. The express pass is a nice bonus to staying at the hotel but you are obviously paying for it based on the room rate. If you can afford it I would recommend them as it makes your trip that much more enjoyable, standing in line is not fun. We wanted the express passes so we figured based on comparison costs to stay at this hotel. Please keep in mind early park admission is offered to several other hotels as well and you are not allowed to use your express passes during early park admission! This makes early park admission quite useless as there are only two rides open, Minions and Harry Potter. We were at the park at 7:30 am for the 8:00 am opening and by the time we got to Harry Potter the wait time was 75 minutes. Getting up early for that, in my opinion, is not worth it. We came back later in the evening and waited 20 minutes with our express passes with a wait time of 65 minutes displayed-Universal App said 40 minutes. Plan accordingly. Ollivanders is open as well during early park admission and if you want to do the wand experience I would suggest using the early park admission for that as most people run to the rides. We also went at a busy time over Presidents Day weekend so your experience may be different. Hotel location is good, we walked to the park and took the boat back. Walking is much faster unless the boat is there waiting for you. Tip of the day-buy a lanyard for your express pass if you get them. They sell them for $12 in the park, pre purchase them for cheaper at home and bring them with you. You will thank me later ; )
Beautiful decor inside and out. Even the basic room had a fantastic shower. All the staff were friendly and polite. The pool was great, too. We had drinks on the patio. Of course, very close to the parks plus we got the fast pass, which was excellent. This is a great place to go in February!
The Royal Pacific is a stunning resort. We stayed in a club level room on the 7th floor. It was very nice, the club house was very nice with comp continental, l
breakfast, lunch snack, small plate, and evening snack. We can't wait to come again.
