How to Get There
We loved this experience and would visit again. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed and pillows were so comfy after a long day of parks. The staff was always helpful. We left with good memories and the hope we can return soon. It was our first trip to Universal, and I was delighted how close everything was. No need to wait for the buses like at Disney. We could hop around the "campus" so easily. I also loved the Express Pass benefit of staying at Royal Pacific. We could amble around the park with no Fast Pass appointments like at Disney, so it was much less stressful. We knew we could get on a ride with a minimal wait thanks to the Express Pass, so everything was calmer and more relaxed. The food at City Walk and in the parks was excellent.
This is very nice hotel, quite convenient to the Universal parks. Staying at the hotel allows the guests to express access to many park attractions.
We had one issue with the hotel’s policy to extract extra revenue after the guest arrives. At the time we checked in, I asked the front desk to take care of a Fed Ex package which was sealed and preaddressed. I was told I would have to go to the business center the following day, where I delivered the package and was charged a $16 fee although the clerk did not have to do anything other than fill out a paper to document the charge.
Many hotels, such as the Disney resorts not far away, accept these packages at the desk as a courtesy.
I have started at dozens of resorts with $500 per night price tag, and way over priced for no real value other than location. Rooms were loud at night you can hear guests talking, the employees other than the registration where rude and unhelpful. I do not plan on ever staying at the any of the Loews resorts.
We visited over spring break and arrived early (6:30 am) to take advantage of the early entry and fast pass to Universal Studios. Nice hotel, great staff, proximity and benefits for Universal Studios are great.
Great service and staff. Nice large bathroom. Comfortable beds. Easy walk to theme parks. Express pass that is included is a must during busy times. Nice large pool area with plenty of shade. A couple of small issues fixed promptly.
