How to Get There
Im not sure how this is rated the top place to stay in orlando. We stayed for 5 nights.
1. The room is clean
2. The security people at the gate are very welcoming.
3. Beds are comfortable.
4. The woman that helped me find a microwave from housekeeping was very nice.
1.The room looks like the last update was ‘87
2. There is no place to eat. Went to the clubhouse. Told by the hostess sorry we are slammed and cant seat you. Clubhouse also is Dire need of an update.
3. Asked reception clerk where to eat. She said “i dont know because i meal prep”. ThenPlease get into the meal prep business!
4. I asked her to make sure the payment applied was from the original credit card. She had to check with her manager, this was approved ( even though its standard at every other business hotel i stay at) and guess what wasnt done. And rather than change it. They sent a form that has to be filled out. Ugh
5. The gym had no music, no tv, old equipment.
6. Had coffee and a fruitcup brought to tge room. For $30 they brought a pot of coffee and one cup.... for two people.
For $400 a night it was a HUGE disappointment! Not sure what the resort fee is for.
I had stayed at the Villas of Grand Cypress more than 20 years ago and enjoy my visit. I would have thought it would have been out of date and worn by now. I decided to stay here again because the rooms online looked to be nicely updated. My family was very happy with the room and the facilities overall. If definitely feels like a mature property but only in a good way. The staff throughout from the housekeeping to the pool attendants to the restaurant staff and the golf course staff were professional and all offered over the top service. The restaurant was particularly exceptional from menu selection to food quality and value to of course service. We will definitely return next year.
This is a great place to stay for golf. But also if you want a quiet hotel with great service. The facility is clean, well maintained, and offers great service. Rooms are very large, in a townhouse like setting. Food is very good too. Nice health club and outdoor pool. You can take bikes and bike to the sister hotel (Hyatt) and use all of Hyatt's facilities and amenities, and the come back to a very quiet hotel in a nice setting. For me the service is what will allow me to choose this hotel next time i am in orlando.
Place was great. Stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath villa. Much better than I expected based on the reviews. Very large and open living space. Great service. Having the shuttle take us to clubhouse, Marriott, Disney Springs was perfect. Concierge helped with Disney plans. Everyone was very nice. Golf was great.
We chose the Grand Cypress due to its large spacious villa, quiet, picturesque surroundings and close proximity to plenty of shopping and entertainment.
The king villa was contemporarily decorated with ample storage and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen housed the bare essentials and the bathroom was nicely appointed with a large shower, deep soaking tub and plenty of welcomed toiletries.
We frequent Orlando often and will most certainly book another villa on our next stay.
