How to Get There
We have visited Orlando for over 20 years now and switch between Hyatt Regency/Disney Yacht Club/Grand Floridian we decided to avoid Disney this year and chose this hotel as we really liked the look of the pool areas for our children (9&12). The hotel is in a great location for the I-4/Mall@Millenia/Premium outlets etc so quick to get to places. Rooms were surprisingly large with very comfy mattresses and high quality bedding. Starbucks in the atrium was very handy with super friendly staff. The breakfast, which was included was one of the best buffet breakfasts we have ever had. Perfect freshly cooked waffles ( my children poured the batter in themselves!), omelettes and real 'home-made' granola. My son was shown how to use the juicing machine (which he now wants!) and made fresh healthy juices each morning. Banana bread was the best we have ever tasted. Fabulous attentive staff. the pool areas were superb, large and clean main pool with a water spray area which was actually suitable for all ages and not just toddlers. Two large slides ( although my son was injured as a boy was allowed to come down too soon after him and collided with him at the bottom) it is manned but maybe a large sign advising children to wait until told to go is needed. There is a great bar area and large screens showing sports, a lot of conferences going on so quite a 'buzzy' hotel but a lovely atmosphere and very well kept. We had a problem with our room which was dealt with swiftly by one of the managers -Gabriel. We would not hesitate to stay at this hotel in the future.
This hotel is modern and clean. It was nicer than I expected. It is an atrium style hotel, so the elevators are open and the rooms overlook a center courtyard. I attended for a convention and they did a nice job with the business in conference rooms. The bar was good and the service was good as well.
Hotel is very nice. Food options and pool were great. It was close to attractions. Customer service agents were extremely helpful setting up shuttles, etc. They were also great about making food recommendations. Would absolutely stay there again.
We chose this hotel for our two day park adventure when in Florida based on brand and past reviews. We got a good price on hotels.com even if ordered the day before and from check in to check out the service was impeccable. We were dead tired after a long drive from Miami and a park day and needed to grab dinner before crashing. The sushi bar is brilliant for this. The morning after the breakfast was good, and the help to order extra admissions and organizing our line admission at SeaWorld was handled with speed. Obviously we got free parking in the day we were in the park. Only downer were that our suite was a bit worn down and the extra beds ordered were not there upon arrival and were not made when they came. All in all. Great getaway from the noice and horrid food in the parks.
I was not impressed at all with the overpriced nightly rate for this hotel. The rooms are very nice. The pool area bar/food service was HORRIBLE. No one took our order. We had to approach the bar and place the order and once we received our food and drinks no one came back to offer another drink or anything else.It was bar food! Burgers and fries and two adult beverages totaled 96.00!!
The breakfast buffet for two people was 60.00! We had to PAY 25.00 to park and never left the hotel until we checked out. The resort fee is, in my opinion, too high. The wifi was never accessible and the AC temp would not go below 74 degrees.
We chose this place due to the close proximity to Sea World. If you want to spend a LOT of money for nothing more than a 3 star hotel, then by all means, stay here. We will be taking our hard earned dollars to a different hotel next time.
