How to Get There
My wife, daughter stayed here for four days while my wife attended a conference at the hotel's convention center. Our room on the 15th floor was spacious and clean, however, there were a few things lacking. First, there was no stand to put our luggage to unpack. Second, the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan, so when we showered we had to leave the door open so that we could dry off afterward. With the lack of the exhaust fan, the bathroom became a very drippy mess. You could tell that the paint on the door was starting to bubble a little because of the constant moisture. Finally, the bed pillows were just so flat that we all woke up each morning with stiff necks.
On the plus side, we liked that the hotel provided complimentary shuttles to all the Disney parks, as well as the shopping area at Disney Springs. We would stay here again.
Very expensive amenities for a mediocre hotel at best. The hotel indicates it’s upscale and high end but it’s neither. The standard king room is similar to that of a chain motel. The room amenities are basic. However, there are some pluses to this hotel. Although quite pricey ($30 p/p), the breakfast buffet is great, the Japanese Restaurant is also very good. Another plus are the 4 pools with waterfall and slide, but difficult to find empty chairs unless you place towels and reserve them before breakfast.
Thank don’t think I’ll be back.
Stay was very good. We are not fond of American food (Italian etc.) and look for Indian or Chinese so never went to the restaurants inside and cannot comment on them. There were luxury buses to take you to the resorts and bring you back - that was good service. However, I have one experience that I believe will help the hotel to improve service. My son forgot his bag inside the bus and realized that only after we entered at one resort. I informed the MEARS bus company and the hotel reception. However, the bag was returned to the hotel by the bus company only after we left the hotel. Hotel agreed to ship the bag for $23 but the bag was less expensive than that - so we opted for donating that to some charity - hotel took care of that. I only wish the bus company could return the bag sooner. The system should be - if there is anything left in the bus by a guest - it will be returned immediately to the hotel. The driver should check the seats before he picks guests and after he drops the guests at every spot. If something is found - that should go to the last hotel where he picked his guests from. At one instance after saying 'thank you' I did not hear a 'welcome' from the service desk lady. Cannot interpret that as something wrong - but at such an environment as a guest expectations go up - I expected to hear an 'welcome'.
Spent 6 days there for a conference. Room was great and nice view of pool area. Ate at most of the restaurants in the hotel. All were above average for a hotel, pool bar was great. Only real complaint was parking was very far from the hotel rooms, but close to conference center. I figured out they had a bus from parking to hotel around day 4. Starbucks was great and was open late. The conference staff and IT and electrical staff were on point and accommodating. Hope we stay there again soon. Great fitness center, it was quite a hike and signage wasn't too clear. Once I found it, very nice and clean facility.
From entering the lobby, the hotel feels very posh and accommodating. The lobby bar with its adjoining patio, furnished with cushy chairs and fire pits, was most welcoming after a long flight. The glass elevator was a nice touch. The real balcony on my room overlooked the golf course. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel and conference center are easy to get around. The hydroponic garden was really interesting and I was glad to know that the food in the hotels came from that source. The pools and light shows were great. Shuttles to Disney parks were convenient. It's a little pricey, but very nice.
