How to Get There
This resort does not have laundry in every room. Some details were missed on this trip. We had no laundry detergent or dish soap in the room when we arrived, which is my expectation at a Hilton Grand Vacations property.
after my run this morning, my legs were bleeding and one of the ladies working at Las Palmeras, Miluska, instantly asked me if I was okay. She proceeded to get me bandages, gauze, and cornstarch to heal my wounds. I’m thankful for her!! I would definitely come back with this service.
Beautifully designed and conveniently located close to theme parks and shopping. The hospitality of the staff were warm and pleasant and felt like they genuinely enjoyed pleasing their guests. My family and I enjoyed our stay. Wanted to extend our time but the hotel was booked. I will return with more family and friends.
If you are expecting a typical first-rate Hilton experience, you might be disappointed. While the location is excellent if you are attending Universal or accessing locations along International Drive, the resort itself has some deficits. The kitchen is poorly stocked, so don't expect to prepare anything fancy, the counter space is lacking, especially in the bathrooms, there are no dressers at all, and the packaged coffee that is supplied is horrible--some of the worst I've ever had. (We went to Publix and bought our own.) And here's my biggest complaint--even though we checked in at 5:15 PM, we were told the room was not ready, so please wait! The front desk attendant then told us that they "guaranteed" to rooms to be ready by 4:00, and shrugged. To add insult to injury, when I checked out three days later, even though I related to the front desk person my check-in problems, I was told that we could not get a late checkout. She even suggested that it was us late checkouts that caused their room preparation problems!
I should note that I am an owner in the Hilton Grand Vacations program, and I expect better than this.
This resort just may be our new favorite of the HGVCs in Orlando. We stayed four times at HGVC SeaWorld last year, and while it was nice, this resort has everything but closer! After walking all day at the parks, it was nice to come back to a resort that had a simple layout for everyone in our party. We enjoyed the pool, the giant water slide, large splash pad and ping pong by the pool.
I love the text feature to the front desk (although this is not unique to this HGVC). The parking garage is just a few steps away from the lobby and the rooms are arranged like a regular city type hotel, so everything is close. We had a poolside view, which was outstanding. Fiorella’s restaurant had a great Margherita pizza with several kid friendly options. $$ While this resort may have slightly less daily activity options, it makes up for it with overall play value and less overcrowding at the pool. Keep up the great work! Josue at the front desk and bell services were great also. We did experience an issue where the fire department had to come clear a floor, but the staff was attentive, responsive, and helpful.
