How to Get There
The hotel was clean, great pool, great restaurants. Staff was so professional and so nice. There was a sleuth of kids there for Volleyball tournaments, Basketball tournaments and Cheerleading events somewhere. So the hotel was full of fun.
I recently stayed at the Hilton Orlando for a work related event held in the hotel's ballroom area. In the heart of Spring Break, check-in was quick, friendly and I was allowed to choose my room. I stayed in room 1638. Nice room, had everything I needed. I have only three complaints: the in-room coffee is TERRIBLE. The room temp when I entered was at 72 degrees. Thats a little warm for this Northerner. I set it down to the lowest AC mode temp at 66 degrees. It took over 24 hours to cool down to 68 degrees. Lastly, the pillows were way to soft offering no support. Putting the pillows on top one another made the issue worse, creating my own personal sink hole. I ordered room service twice. Once for breakfast and another for dinner. The service was excellent and speedy! Checking out was just as easy. Zip check-out is the way to go.
This place was excellent the king bed room was very nice. The hotel was very busy and the service was acceptable. The pool was excellent but there was no service around the pool. The location is good if you have wheels.
This Hilton is connected to the Orange County Convention Center via a 2nd story covered skywalk. Very convenient location for events at the Center. The pool area for the hotel is amazing; multiple pools, kiddie water playground, multiple lounge areas, cabanas, water slide, jacuzzis and even a lazy river - it's basically a water park. Gym was top notch and hotel had basketball & volleyball courts too. Hotel is spacious and the layout ensures that even when crowded with people and events all are spread out. However for 2 full days in row ice machines on multiple floors of the hotel were broken and hotel was unaware of the issue throughout the building. Housekeeping was a disaster - they didn't show up, repeated attempts to reschedule were a fail and when they finally did show up they did not even properly clean up - for example glass cups were not cleaned nor swapped out for clean ones. We even had less towels than upon check in too. There are too many choices in Orlando and much at a lower price point too. Once hotel operations gets its act together then it can be worthwhile to stay there. They won't comp either for mistakes and inconveniences, they will offer at first a useless amount of hotel reward points.
We came here for a volleyball tournament and had to stay here since it was close to the Orange County Convention Center. The hotel is clean and the rooms or okay but you are really paying for is the amenities they have and it’s close to a lot of the attractions. Had a great time outside the pool and bar and grill has great burgers and TVs outside. If I were on vacation I would stay here since you can do many things.
