It’s in Orlando, but this is no Mickey Mouse operation. A member of Marriott’s Autograph collection, this 247-room high-rise is a cosmopolitan meeting place, complete with an art gallery featuring the work of local artists, the Bösendorfer Lounge jazz bar, and a gourmet restaurant, La Boheme, which specializes in aged steaks. The property’s central downtown location attracts all manner of guests—from wedding parties to business travelers—along with families who are hitting Walt Disney World.
In the Area
Its downtown location means that the Grand Bohemian is minutes away from everything Orlando has to offer, from the bars and restaurants of Church Street Station, to sporting events at the Amway Center, to art at the Orlando Museum of Art and the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum. Anything we forgot to mention? Oh yes, Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios, and Sea World are each less than a 20 minute drive from the resort.
How to Get There
I chose this hotel for my wife and I anniversary and a concert at amway center. I didn't know much about downtown Orlando but I could see this was the place to be and be seen. The hotel had very friendly staff and went above and beyond to make us feel special during our stay. From the bed to the room to the beautiful rooftop pool we had an amazing time!!
Fabulous chic hotel in the heart of it all. We considered other properties and are so happy we chose to stay here. The decor is beautiful and the location can not be beat. You are in the middle of it all. We stayed in a beautiful suite with a jacuzzi tub. The room had all the needed amenities and more. We highly recommend and will stay here again if we are in need of a downtown Orlando hotel.
I stayed in the Grand Bohemian for work travel. Hotel is a Kessler boutique hotel and the "Autograph Collection" hotel seems to be one that focuses on art. The rooms are really nice, comfy beds, clean, but a little dark - especially the bathroom, and the art in the room I stayed in was a bit off-putting but was not a deal breaker.
Loved that the hotel served complimentary champagne every evening around 5:00 and I spent some time in the bar, ordered room service once, and had dinner in the restaurant once. Food was okay - not stellar for the price but good.
The hotel's décor is very old world gothic and it's very dark in the hotel. This may be bothersome to some guests - again my only issue specific to this is the room bathroom could be lit better.
The only other shortcoming the hotel had was that the street noise was loud as the week wrapped up. I was a guest Monday - Thursday and the street noise Thursday night was really very loud until after midnight (I was on the 6th floor in an room facing Orange Ave.).
