How to Get There
This five star review is for the management! We are frequent Disney visitors and have stayed at every “deluxe” Disney resort. The management team at the Yacht club was top notch. We had an unfortunate first night with a child next door screaming non stop all night. Because we had a connecting door, it was like the child was in the room with us. It was an awful night, especially given I was sick, but as soon as I reported the issue to management, the team went above and beyond to help us. Special thanks to manager Kim for checking on us.
With the Flower and Garden Festival going on, I booked the Yacht club to take advantage of the easy walking distance between the resort and Epcot. My stay extended a bit longer because my husband's company also decided to book Yacht club for their company conference so what a wonderful chance to really get to know the Epcot Area!
After a very quick check in with my room ready, I took the elevator to 4th floor and kept walking and walking to locate 4080 - I got a bit worried just how far out I was but my concerns disappeared when I finally found the back elevators which gave a super close and quick access to boat transportation, the boardwalk walkway to Epcot and the path to the Stormalong Bay pool complex. My room faced the quiet pool which was indeed very quiet and I could examine The Dolphin's statue on their roof quite clearly from my room - gotta say, between you and me, it's a big fish lol.
The room was very recently renovated and everything is clean and fresh looking. The room is spacious, the shower is wonderful and the decor is modern and nautically contemporary which suits my style for sure!
I absolutely loved to easy access to Epcot where I enjoyed so much food - I had no idea the Flower and Garden offered so many special food options for this festival!! I'm so glad I attended. We tried The Yachtsman for the first time and it is really a very special and unique place to dine. The marketplace for drinks and hot beverages were convenient and easy to access too. The laundry was just down the back elevator to the main floor, then around a corner which was ideal to freshen up clothing half way through the trip!! Loved seeing the Boardwalk resort all lit up at night, with the new Skyliner behind it and fireworks at Epcot in the sky, and watching the sun rise over it every morning with my coffee sitting on my bench on the Yacht club boardwalk overlooking the boat docks. Staff were always waving and greeting me, especially in the mornings.
Walking to Hollywood studios takes a bit longer but quite doable - especially with my building being so close to Swan/Dolphin. I will definitely stay again since I think this is one of the best ways to get the most out of Epcot - could go morning and later afternoons and enjoy the pool for mid day when it was simply too hot for me to enjoy being in a theme park. I love the designs on the daily bands you get for entering the pool - my fav is the one with little sand castles around it!
Thank you to all CM involved for such a wonderful stay - it was relaxing, entertaining, invigorating and fun, all wrapped up in a Clove Hitch Mickey style knot!!
We stayed in the Club level poolside view room! We absolutely loved this hotel! From now on we will only stay in the “club level” rooms at Disney! The pool was amazing, when it wasn’t raining. The staff was on top of everything! We enjoyed the short walk to Epcot! Go eat Cape May next door, great seafood buffet.
We stayed at the Yacht Club for the first time during a 10 day visit back in December. What a great stay we had. I still think the Boardwalk is my favorite but we really did enjoy the Yacht Club.
We had a large 2 queen bed room. It was located at the far end of the hotel from the lobby, which made for some long walks, but we had a side exit we could use for quick access to the lake area around the resort. Our room was nicely decorated in a modern nautical theme. More than enough storage space for the week. We also enjoyed the balcony that looked out over a quiet area next to our room. The lobby and overall theme of the resort is beautiful, especially when decorated for the Christmas Holidays. We spent a couple days using the pool. Stormalong Bay was huge and awesome. We loved the slide especially. We also used the quiet pool while doing laundry one night and really enjoyed that area as well. As far as the staff, I don't have a bad comment to say about anyone we encountered. Everyone from desk staff to maintenance staff to Mousekeeping were very polite and respectful.
The main reason we chose to stay here are probably the best reasons to stay here. The location and food options. We loved the Yachtsman Steakhouse. We enjoyed it so much we went twice. We also ate over at Cape May at the neighboring Beach Club and enjoyed that. It was also very convenient to enjoy all that's offered at the Boardwalk. We went over there several times to visit Ample Hills and their other dining options. The Yacht Clubs is very convenient to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. If you enjoy the World Showcase at Epcot, this hotel is great to be able to pop in at night for a dinner or drinks.
The only minor issue we ran into was totally out of the hotels control. We had some noisy neighbors that enjoyed getting up at 6am and singing show tunes as loud as they could. We did inquire about changing rooms finally but the front desk attendant let us know that our neighbors were checking out the following morning so we just beared it for another night!
Overall, as I said previously this is a great hotel and we had a great stay. It will definitely be on the list we consider next time we plan a visit!
My husband and I did a last minute trip for 2 nights as we were driving back from a wedding on Captiva Island. Because it was a short trip we decided to upgrade from our usual Disney Moderate resort to one of the Deluxe resorts. We were not disappointed. We booked a Garden View room and were given room 2018, which was a nice peaceful room facing a small canal and some trees. It was perfect. It we leaned over to the right we could also see the Atlantic Ballroom over at the Boardwalk.
We did the online check in and received our room number via a text. We only had 2 suitcases and 2 small over the shoulder bags so we arrived, parked our car and went directly to our room. It was a longer walk which was sort of maze-like and when we arrived my Magic Band didn't work to get us into the room. I left my husband at the room and walked to the front desk to see if they could assist. They were getting the same error as I did so Rachel, the front desk manager, walked back to my room with me once she had reset my Magic Band to make sure it worked and to also reset my husbands. That little extra customer service meant so much. The Magic Band worked but if it hadn't it would have been another long walk back and forth.
The rooms are stunning - hard flooring vs. carpet now, lots of closet space, a room safe, mini fridge, Keurig, and H2O products.
I love this location because you can walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios as well as take advantage of the dining and entertainment at the Boardwalk.
