Great and atmospheric hotel

This resort has a really nice location a short walk from the entrance to Epcot right on a lake. The setting is quiet, yet are there plenty of options to have a drink in one of the nearby bars around the lake.

Arriving at the resort the check in was easy and I was quickly in my room going to bed after a long flight. I have never stayed at a Disney hotel before and this certainly was a nice surprise. I stayed on the third floor but there was no view. The room was large in size and had two queen beds and a sofa sleeper. Easy for a family to stay in this room type. The bathroom was also pretty nice as the shower and toilet was separated from the sink area. I like if one person is able to shower and another is able to get ready as well.

The large pool made it easy to relax after having been in the parks all day. Even late at night there were lifeguards on duty.

I can't say anything else than I enjoyed the resort very much.

One of my three mornings there I had breakfast at Ale & Compass, one of the dining options next to the lobby. And I absolutely loved it. Great service. Great food. And right there on the spot when you need it.

Our new favorite Disney resort!

The resort is beautiful! Loved the nautical theme and decor. Our room was perfect, with a small balcony overlooking the courtyard! You could hear the fireworks show and see the reflection in the room windows across the way. The grounds are beautiful. We loved the different pools, and my daughter's favorite was the waterslide. We enjoyed walking to the Boardwalk and to Epcot. We ate at Beaches N Cream and the Ale and Compass. Our meals were delicious. We also loved that there was an arcade on site. We plan to stay here again for sure!

Rooms are noisy

The staff is amazing and location is great. Disney bus transportation can be a little slow, waited over 30 minutes for a bus from Magic Kingdom back to the resort at 9pm. The big issue here is the noise. Walls are paper thin. I travel extensively for work and I have never had issues with neighbors waking us up let alone being so loud I had to call security. We stayed at the Yacht Club for 8 nights, first 5 nights only issue was young children crying at 7 am. Not really an issue, but did wake my teenagers up, but mom and dad quieted them down quickly. New family for the last 3 nights, horrendous. Had to call security every night at 11:30 to talk with them. The Yacht Club cannot control this, but if the walls were not paper thin, we would not have had a problem. Also if anyone is passing the room in the hallway, you can hear them. Will NOT stay here again. For the price I would expect you could not hear full conversations from the next room, not the case at the Yacht Club. Extremely disappointed.

Great place

We went because of the big pool which was excellent. Good food options and nice rooms. The walk to Epcot is very easy and it’s really nice not having to wait for a bus or train. I would ask for a room close to the elevator because our room was about 1 mile away. if you can stay at beach club I’d opt for that simply because it’s a few hundred yards closer to the Epcot and boardwalk.

Also yacht club is attached to a conference center so you see a few more corporate people there as opposed to family vacationers. Not a big deal though.
