A room with a view
Reviewed 5 days ago

A reboot with a view is essential to maximise the unique prospect of this amazing resort. As it turned out we were able to get a one bedroom villa, so we had two rooms with a view. We have never had such luxury, but we had planned to have a rest day and spend two nights at Kidani Village.

This was the last few nights of a split stay 5/3 nights stay at WDW. We did parks touring of AK, Epcot and DHS while staying at Pop Century on a Free Dining offer. We were out at other resorts most nights so used it as a base to sleep and it did not disappoint.

We followed up with half day at AK and then check in to Kidani Village about 3pm and a meal at Saana (the last of our meal credits) and then Jiko and Boma.

Animal Kingdom Lodge and Kidani Village are beautiful properties. We spent a relaxing time there. We rented DVC points and got a great deal on the room.

Relaxing Experience
Reviewed 7 days ago

This was our first stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge -Kidani Village. This was a short 4 day visit with just my husband and I. We stayed in a studio villa with a savannah view using our DVC points.
The room was nicely appointed, very clean and a comfortable size for 2 people. Waking up to a variety of animals outside the balcony each morning is a great experience. There was a key to help identify the types of animals in our room which we used. We saw Zebras, Giraffes, Wildebeests, Ankole Cattle, Vultures, Grey Crowned Cranes and more.
There was a microwave, small sink, small refrigerator and counter with paper plates, glasses, plasticware and papertowels.
We enjoyed our stay and this room worked for us. We are seniors and this was a slow paced trip.
As a warning to those who want to be on the go more, you are quite a ways from Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. We did not have a car and used Disney transportation. We had no problems with wait times for buses (very lucky this trip) but it is a long ride..
Also, the food court and Boma are at Jambo House so you need to take a shuttle to get to that. Again, we had no problems with wait times with the shuttles and they seemed to run about every 5 - 10 minutes. We asked how long the walk was to Jambo and they told us it was a brisk 10 minute walk. There is a convenience store at Kidani where you can fill your refillable cups and has some souvenirs and food/drink supplies.
There seemed to be a lot of activities being offered (some kid friendly and safari tour) but we didn't take advantage of them. The pool looked very nice but again we didn't take advantage.
We were very happy with our stay there. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We would stay there again but would probably reserve a 1 bedroom with full kitchen.

Loved this place

From the start of our vacation til the end this hotel was absolutely amazing! We had such a great time. There were so many things to do in the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

Disappointed
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

As a DVC member for over 20 years, this was our first time at Kidani Village. A big plus was the convenient parking under the building. As our room was right next to the elevator it made loading and unloading quite easy.

Our home resort being Boardwalk, we had to rebook due to illness and could only reserve Kidani. Understanding the theme of the resort, I still found décor dark and very tired looking. Kitchen amenities were not up to Disney standards. We were in a very spacious two bedroom with three full baths. Nice space. However, none of the three bathrooms had a shower with adequate water pressure or water above lukewarm. I know all about water conservation and the issues with careful temperature regulation being necessary. Cannot wait to get home to a fully pressurized hot shower.

We will probably not be staying here again.

Kidani village 2 BR villa experience was "Magical" memory!
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had a family reunion of 9 and stayed in a 2BR villa at Kidani Village. The villa was very spacious for our group and the deck overlooking the savanna was huge. Had many cups of coffee out on the deck in the morning and glasses of wine in the evening - catching lots of wildlife roaming the area, including: zebra, giraffe, exotic birds and horned animals! While the room was not cheap (all-in cost of ~ $1,100 per night), it did comfortably accommodate 9 adults...with 3 full bathrooms! It was really nice having a single villa where all could get up and mingle whenever they chose (as opposed to having 3 separate rooms)! Highly recommend this experience to all - and make sure to book this size room early as they tend to sell out fast (and rarely resurface once sold out)! Master Bedroom came with jacuzzi bathtub and very spacious and elegant shower!
