Dirty Dated Rooms
Reviewed 2 days ago

Arrived to a blocked toilet and dirty bed sheets. They did sort them but st this price not a good start. Carpet in rooms dirty. There are plenty of nicer hotels out there. Don’t be fooled by nice reception area. This standard is not continued in bedrooms. Very expensive rooms. poolside bar also charges 15% service charge even though you go and get your drinks yourself. Don’t bother. I question the validity of the last couple of reviews!

Amazing experience!

My wife and I stayed here for the final 4 nights of our honeymoon and were astonished at the professionalism of the staff. Extremely helpful and polite. On top of that they were so welcoming and friendly! The pool is amazing and the poolside bar is great! We had such a relaxing time here and will most definitely be back. Thanks so much!

Overnight stay before RunDisney

This hotel came at an amazing rate last minute. The staff was friendly and welcoming which set the tone for our stay. The building, location, and room were all too notch. Parking was abundant and we weren't nickel and dimed contrary to what previous reviewers wrote. Overall, great value and stay.

Nickel and dime you and timeshare harassment
Reviewed 5 days ago

This hotel will nickel and dime you on everything. How about not charging people for a rollaway bed when they’re already spending upwards of 500 dollars at your hotel. They did nothing to give us a larger room, knowing we had a rollaway bed and our room wasn’t available at check in. Instead they made us wait until after 4pm to check into a cramped standard room that did not fit the rollaway bed and then had the audacity to charge us for it! Further, the timeshare harassment is despicable! It literally ruined my vacation! This hotel has cheap shower curtains. Laundry charged my credit card over 20 bucks when I didn’t even use it because the dryer door wouldn’t open! The shuttle is a joke. It only runs twice in the am and twice in the pm with huge gaps in between (eg. 7 am and then 10 am). I would not recommend staying at this hotel. They charge you like a 4 star hotel but what you get is below a 1 Star hotel . Never again.

not a family friendly hotel (scam alert scam alert)
Reviewed 1 week ago

i would not recommend staying in this hotel with young children.

stayed at the crown plaza back in April 2018 with my husband and 2 kids age 5 and 7.

one staff member (which was a lady didn't get her name) gave out to my kids for having a bit of fun in the lobby. my husband went down to order our park tickets and brought the kids with him, the kids where playing around a little seat and one of the employees came over and gave out to them told them to stop what they where doing or they would get in trouble . there was virtually no one in the lobby and my husband said that they where not being bold that they where just having a bit of fun together as they do . my husband would of course gave out to the kids if he thought that they where misbehaving but they most defiantly were not. my kids where very upset with their encounter with this employee and this made them very uncomfortable over our stay.
we also got tricked into going to a time share meeting , the staff member told us that it was a viewing of a new hotel and that it would only take one hour of our time in order to get cheaper seaworld tickets, so like fools we fell for it. so organized for the following morning to attend viewing i think it was about 7am or so, well let me tell you it did not take an hour it took over 3.5 hours the sales men where so rude and pushy they would not take no for an answer, they where getting really tick with us because we wouldn't fall for their scams and lies. so after 3.5 hours they finally gave up on us and let us go and get our tickets which we had already paid for the day before. my poor wee babies had to sit there for hours listening to these rude sales men trying to push us into something we didn't want they wasted our day and our time spent having fun with our kids we where all so tired and upset and it ended up ruining our day. i would of preferred to pay full price for our sea world tickets than to have wasted our day out with our kids. they really did trick us into this as there was no mention of it being about time shares all it was suppose to be was an hour long viewing of a new hotel.
i hope my review will stop another poor family falling for this scam.

staff in general where very unpleasant and unhelpful. their was one lady at the pool bar who was extremely unfriendly and would pretty much ignore you when you went up to order a drink and would also grunt a reply to you. didn't get her name either as i am desperate with names but i can describe what she looked like, quiet small, dark skin, long dark curly hair which she wore in a low pony tail.

i have to say there was actually one really nice staff member i didn't get his name either but he was a tall man with sandy hair and glasses and was there most evenings handing out coupons he was really friendly and helpful. think his name was alex but i could be completely wrong.

pool is not suitable for kids as even the ''shallow'' end was way to deep for my 5 year old. my 7 year old can swim but he did not enjoy this pool as he could not stand and just play he had to constantly keep himself afloat as water is too deep. my 2 kids spent most of their time in the Jacuzzi as this was the only place they could play in the water , actually any kids that where in the hotel spent their time in the jacuzzi as pool was way way way to deep for them to have fun in.
they really should have a separate kids pool as most other hotels in Orlando have.

breakfast food is cold and stale not adequate for the price think it was 17. dollars ahead per adult and 12.50 per child which was extremely expensive considering the they would only eat a small bowl of cereal . dinner and lunch was tasty but not much options.

hotel shuttle service is useless as it only runs once in the morning and once in the evening we ended up having to get a taxi home every evening from the parks.

hotel not in a good location as the I ride buses do not stop near by we found this a real inconvenience as most evenings after a day at the park we would get a taxi from the park to international drive to get a bite to eat , kids would be exhausted and not fit to walk the whole way back to the hotel. so we would have to order another taxi to bring us back to the hotel. the walk would be fine for adults but not for exhausted kids.

hotel rooms are clean but very very dated. lobby and bar are nice.

shop on site is extremely expensive a packet of chips will cost you $4 or more no lie .

would not recommend this hotel at all its suppose to be a 4 star but it is far from it we stayed in 3 star hotels in Orlando before and to be honest they where better than this hotel pools where way more kid friendly , staff where way more kid friendly and rooms where every bit as clean and furniture pretty much the same standard as the crown plaza.

we decided to stay in this hotel as it was our first time in Orlando with the kids and we wanted to stay in a higher Star hotel for their comfort and safety but to be honest we would of had been better of staying in one of the 3star hotel myself and my husband had previously stayed in.

this hotel is overpriced.
not kid friendly , as a matter of fact not people friendly.

oh yes also when booking it said it had a kids games room, !!! there is no games room so so un kid friendly. hated it
