How to Get There
I stayed here for 4 days while I attended a conference.
I arrived around 10:30 on a Sunday morning and they had a room ready which was nice. I was on the third floor at the front of the hotel.
The room was of average size with two queen beds. Bathroom was average size as well: Room pluses/Minuses:
+ Wifi was strong and worked well
+ Mini fridge
+ Bed was comfortable
+ Good amount of counter space in the bathroom
+ Never heard any hallway noise
- Shower curtain barely reached the top of the tub so it was always tricky to make sure water didn't go everywhere
- Shower drain was very slow which resulted in standing in ankle deep water while showering
- Decor looking a little tired and worn in areas
- Trash area just below my window resulted in some loud banging around 5am at
least 2 mornings
I didn't explore the pool area while I was there. I pretty much didn't go beyond the lobby but the bar area looked trendy and updated...more so than the rooms.
The Front Desk as well as the Doormen were extremely nice and pleasant. One of the Doormen always asked if I needed a bottle of water when I returned from my run. That is nice...but yet they charge $5 for water in the room?
Probably one of the best aspects of the hotel is the location. It is only about 1 mile from the Convention Center and right in the middle of all the restaurants and bars on International Drive. While it might not be very convenient for visiting the parks, without a car or taking a Uber, it is a short walk to countless restaurant options.
Overall, I would probably rate this hotel closer to 3.5. It did meet my needs well in that it was clean, the staff and location are great, but aspects of the rooms are a little tired.
I would certainly consider staying there again if I find myself traveling to that area again in the future.
Had a king bed room and I must say, it was quiet. I never heard the neighbors or those above me. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the amenities one could ask. instant hot water for the shower. Check in and out was a swift, efficient. Location is excellent for all theme parks and the Orlando Convention Center. Self parking is convenient and valet parking is available.
ok place better than average if needing to be in that area didnt like the nightly parking fee but most are starting to charge that so when looking add that fee into your consideration near universal but a ride from disney so if thats what your trips about think about that i was there for business but theres many options
