A little gem rather than a pebble!
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Stayed here for 5 days. Friendly, relaxing, peaceful hotel with amazing sea views. Comfortable room with aircon and fan. Light and airy. Breakfast is continental with great granola, cake and fruit. Small attractive pool.
Afternoon/early evening snacks offered however whenever we tried to order, they weren't available, the chef was either running late or having a couple of days off. Not a problem as there are several restaurants nearby, we particularly liked The Studio. There is an honesty bar and complimentary teas, coffee and water available. Would definitely recommend. Be aware that there are quite a few steps to get up to the hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel with amazing views and friendly staff

This is absolutely not one of the many identical cookie-cutter hotels found elsewhere on the island. The building itself is a beautiful, colonial style house on top of a hill with great views over the ocean from some of the rooms and the terrace where breakfast is served. A small pool at the back and wraparound balconies give good views in every direction, and our room was well-equipped, cool and comfortable. Not sure how accessible it is for wheelchair users but the place has real character.

The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The breakfast is continental buffet style with a good range of food including bagels, yoghurts, cereals, cheese, fruits and cake. Hot dishes incur a charge, but we ate well every morning and never felt we needed to order anything extra. Tea and coffee are free and available all day.

We got the impression that they're not so much of an 'evening meal' kind of place, having only a limited menu, but staff were happy to point us towards the reasonable number of restaurants close by (5 minute walk) or order us pizza. Top tip is to have cash, as some places don't accept card and there are no ATMs close by.

We loved the location: its only a $15 taxi ride from the airport, but aircraft noise isn't an issue. As the name suggests, it's close to the beach and there are beaches within walking distance where you can get a drink and a sunbed (Love Beach the standout example: good snorkelling, cheap sunbeds, not too busy and a bar with wifi - what more could you want!?). It's a 20-30 minute bus ride into town. Buses are cheap and regular, and the journey is along the coast so gives some excellent views. Just say your destination as you get on, pay as you get off and shout 'bus stop' when you want it to stop.

If you're looking for something with charm and character, slightly off the beaten track, then we can't recommend this hotel highly enough. We'll certainly return.

Quaint hotel with friendly staff

This is a charming boutique hotel lying very close to the airport, but surprisingly not affected by aircraft noise. The hotel has all the basic amenities and the complimentary continental breakfast was particularly good. The hotel offers a limited menu for dinner, but there are restaurants within walking distance. One drawback is the lack of a lift from the street to the reception. There are many steps to climb and it may be a problem for elderly or infirm guests.

Amazing views

Good nights' sleep. Room layout a bit odd but comfortable (behind front desk, basically). One draw back is that there is a long stairway to climb just to get to the front desk. Their man is happy to carry luggage up (thank goodness) but it is not for handicapped or unfit people.

Quiet and relaxed close to airport

Stayed here for 4 nights after being on paradise island. Very quiet location.

Pros: free continental breakfast, great view of the ocean, friendly staff, close to airport, beach few mins walk away.

Cons: Wi-fi stopped working in our room after day 2, Very frustrating. Not a lot to do in the area.

Overall pleasant stay.
