Little paradise

Wow, what a nice place. We stayed
a week. The small local beach is 3 min walk. Breakfast is simple but fine. Service very good. Frienly staff. Of you want to explore the island this is a good place to stay.

Nice but infuriatingly noisy

This is a nice little hotel very close to Nassau’s Int Airport. I would say more like a B&B. The rooms are very nice, comfortable and with a much needed AC. The staff, in general, is very helpful.
However, they have a major problem! My room was in the first floor and the room above mine, on the second floor was extremely noisy to a point I could not sleep. Terrible.
In addition, I was here for a scuba diving weekend and booked the hotel with the Stuart Cove’s. Well, their shuttle comes by at 8am and the hotel’s breakfast starts at that same time - it does not make sense. Happily the staff made me a ham and cheese sandwich.
WiFi is free and awful.

Will return every time I’m in Nassau

I’ve stayed at this location 4 times this spring. Yes, initially the staircase looms dauntingly above, however, it’s well worth the climb. Leave your case at the bottom of the stairs, and your hosts will bring them up to your room!

The rooms are tasteful and quiet. The views are spectacular! The honor bar is a lovely touch. Breakfast is modest, but fresh.

I cannot say enough about the staff! Everyone is super accommodating. Airport is a quick cab ride away. This is Nassau, so just accept that a 1 mike cab ride is 20-40bucks.

Thanks Christine for making every effort to make my family’s stay a lovely memory.

Fortunately, our search for a hotel near the airport led us to this little haven--a slice of paradise. The welcome could not have been more pleasant. This place is what you imagine when you dream of an island getaway: lovely, intimate, warm and cosy--decorated in earth tones, with reused wood and limestone, high ceilings with big fans, big terraces, and photos showing island history everywhere. There is a large veranda overlooking the ocean just off reception with comfortable chairs and a fully-stocked honor bar. Oh, and free coffee, tea and bottled water (and ice) always available. A romantic freshwater pool is situated in the lush tropical garden. If you book a suite, you have a hot tub! The chef came to our room to compose our dinner menu, composed of salad, fresh fish and vegetables; we ate outside on the veranda. The food was great! Breakfast too was a real treat--eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, yogurt, fruit, cold cuts and scrumptious blueberry muffins. We had a big room with a very big comfortable bed and four windows with French doors leading to the terrace. The ac was easy to manipulate. The bathroom window looking into the room had beautifully carved wooden shutters. This is certainly one of the best places in The Bahamas, and the price is right.

Would definitely go back!

What an incredible place! Put aside the walk up to the reception, it's no ordeal. We were welcomed by the staff who were not only friendly but helpful in that they told us the best places to eat and drink outside of the hotel. A refreshing change! The rooms are very clean and the cleaners work so hard to make sure they are.The views are wonderful and it all made a welcome change from having stayed at the dreadful Marley Resort and Spa for two nights before. I really would recommend this place, it is a friendly relaxing stay and definitely worth your hard earned money. Possibly one downside were the drink prices, ie $10 for a small glass of wine, ouch!! However, this is a very, very good place to stay.
