How to Get There
This place is wonderful if you have money. Has everything for the makings of a perfect grand vacation........So much to do there especially now with the "ICE" show and being so close to Disney World. ..When we were there all Resturants were open at given times through out the day and evenings..Holidays are the busy and fun time to go. ..but again it is a expensive experience.
I stayed here 5 nights for a convention. The hotel is staffed by kind people who really do want to help. Several times, staff volunteered to help me, before I asked. The room was in good repair and was clean when I arrived. The conference facilities were very nicely done, and the service at the conference was unobtrusive and professional. My only grip is how expensive the food was. Perhaps that is to be expected at a self-contained facility but $30 for a breakfast buffet is a bit over the top.
The main atrium is impressive! The koi pond is stocked with gorgeous, healthy fish. I enjoyed the other pond as well (in the Key West area) with Red Drum, Tarpon, and Snook. All the plants and animals were well cared for, their enclosures clean and the individuals looked and acted healthy.
This is a beautiful property. My room was large and clean and everyone I came in contact with was incredibly nice. Great service at every turn. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. There is a problem with the selection of restaurants at this property and the hours they operate. We were there for a convention – a large convention. And during the day only the sports bar and poolside restaurant were open. There are many other restaurants, but they were only open in the evening. You could grab a sandwich from the coffee shop and find somewhere to eat it, but as far as sit-down dining, only two options. This is not quite as bad as the situation at the Texas property, but it is pretty bad. At least there were other restaurants available in the evening here. The Nashville property has many more options available and they are open for both lunch and dinner. This is one of the most frustrating things about this property as well as the Texas property: very limited dining options for lunch. For a property this large, hosting a convention, one would think they would have their restaurants open. This was incredibly frustrating. there were times during the day that it felt like a ghost town in the atrium because things were closed. Also, the hot water in my room at times took over five minutes to get warm. I did let the front desk staff know and they apologized. Again, the room was clean, and everyone was very nice. And this is a beautiful place to stay.
