How to Get There
We have stayed here many many times over the past few years as every time we drive up we always stay here. The staff is always great and they actually provide water! The rooms are nice and the inside balcony is such a great view! Walking through the center area is charming and a great thing to do after dinner. The restaurant in the center has a buffet for every meal and let me tell you, it’s so worth it. The food is delicious! It is not cheap, about 30$ per person for breakfast and 40$ per person for dinner but we love it. It’s also right near everything and a short drive to all of the parks, downtown and outer small towns.
We had a room with a balcony overlooking the hotel interior. It is incredible. There is a full sailing vessel, that serves as a restaurant in the interior atrium. There is a little lake and there are ponds all over full of fish in some, alligators and turtles in others. So awesome. The pool area has something for everyone. Slides, water playgrounds, surf pool, and a pool for just adults. Great restaurant options, and good food. We were there with family for one of my grandson's birthday. We all had the best time and wished we could have stayed longer. But, alas work calls. Boo hoo. You won't be disappointed. Book it!
When checking in we were asked if we wanted a main atrium room as an upgrade - "Is it loud?" I asked, "It shouldn't be" was the response. "You're on the top floor." "Would you like to forgo housekeeping for additional points?" "Sure, can we only do it for the first night?" "Of course,".
LOUD!! Very Loud. People in the castle having a party and in the lobby bars until the wee hours. Sound carries and you hear everything. When I called to inquire about the loud guitar - I got a different response each time. "Ending at 8, ending at 10, ..." Early morning breakfast events in the castle in the atrium. Didn't sleep AT ALL.
No housekeeping on day 2 (we only asked for day 1). We had to call, go down to the lobby and then finally got resolution by using the app chat. They had us down for the entire stay.
Very unorganized, one department doesn't talk to the other through their systems.
Will not stay here again! There is a Renaissance just up the street.
