Fabulous place to stay on JVD
Reviewed 1 week ago

We started our vacation on St. John and spent the last 2 days on JVD at WBV. Great choice! We shared the Banana villa with our friends. There are 2 levels. The main level has 1 BR with a bath, and then a common area kitchen & living area. The lower level was our BR with a bath. Most of the villa had been renovated due to the hurricanes and were beautiful! Very nice shower, doors leading into the room and the bed was very comfortable! And the a/c was SO quiet and worked very well. Both rooms had seating on the patios and we overlooked White Bay where we saw a couple amazing sunsets! We met the owner, John Klein, & had a lovely conversation about the property and he was very proud of the quiet a/c units and how well they worked. There was a path right down to the beach, that we took over to Soggy Dollar and Hendo’s on Friday. We spent the day on the beach and then walked back UP the path at the end of the day. The only thing I would suggest is to bring bug spray so they don’t carry you away. Other than that, our stay at WBV was wonderful except that it was too short. I should mention that Bonnie was very helpful with our reservations and Maria answered some of my questions ahead of our arrival about a ferry ride v. Foxy’s Water Taxi. And about that, Foxy’s Water Taxi ALL DAY LONG!! Captain Dave was awesome & full of insider tidbits. I would absolutely recommend WBV & will be staying there again!

White Bay Villas are truly spectacular. The pictures on the website don't do the views justice. We stayed at the Sunset Villa West and it lived up to it's name with incredible sunset views from it's location perched on the hillside. It was an easy walk down a beautiful trail right to the beach on White Bay. Bonnie was extremely helpful in the planning of our trip and rest of the staff from the airport transportation to Capt. Jesse on their private water taxi went out of their way to make sure every detail of our trip was perfect. Maria the on site manager was also incredibly helpful in assisting us with provisioning the villa with everything we needed and coordinating the delivery from Tortola. As for Jost Van Dyke itself it has completely recovered from the hurricanes that hit in 2017. The island is lush and beautiful and 90% of the businesses were back up and running. I would not hesitate for a minute from booking a trip to Jost and staying at the White Bay Villas, it is truly paradise!

Comfort in paradise

We’ve always wanted to stay at these cottages. We left our timeshare in St Thomas empty for one night to make it finally happen. This small cottage has all the comforts of home! It exceeded my expectation of clean! Fully stocked kitchen, beach and bath towels, WiFi and the very necessary bug repellent (mosquitoes). The most amazing views of our favorite beach. We did the ocean front hike over to Soggy Dollar. It wasn’t too bad. We even hiked it back after dark and after a few painkillers. If you need to take a taxi, it’s $5 pp to the beach and to the ferry dock. Jost was not as easy to get to as it used to be. Check on the ever changing ferry schedules and customs and immigration locations before you go. We should have gotten there in 30 + minutes but due to C&I locations wiped out by Irma last year, it took us over 3 hours from USVI.

We live in the Virgin Islands and a group of girlfriends went away for a long weekend. We stayed in Sunset Villa East and it was just perfect. Right from the booking process, questions, meet and greet and the actual villa itself, we could not have asked for more. The level of Customer Service delivered by Michelle when she met us on the first day was impressive and she was a very friendly and helpful lady. The villa is well designed and equipped, and the view..........We will be back. Thank you.

White Bay Villas are an absolute gem. We had visited White Bay by boat on a previous trip, but there’s something special about staying on the island, because life has a very easy pace on JVD. It makes Tortola seem like New York City lol. The villas themselves are amazing. Ours had a view I will never forget...and a hammock! It was equipped with everything we needed, and the staff were wonderful. The path down to the beach is a bit steep - probably not recommended if you have dodgy knees - but if you don’t? You will LOVE White Bay Villas.
