Beautiful hotel! The French Bulldog National were held here this month. They accommodated us very well. Pet friendly!!! Service everywhere was superb! Highly recommend! Oh and don’t forget to walk the beach everyday!!!
From the beautiful grounds upon arrival to the Beach and everything in between, this is the hotel of choice for Hilton Head Island!
Well appointed rooms, great service and excellent food and beverage offering!
I'm really excited about this hotel guys! I've been thinking a lot about this review. First off, I've been to Hilton Head and stayed at a lot of places over the last 10 plus years. I will say, there is no perfect place. So many of the hotels on Hilton Head are just old. No other way to say it. They are old. Even with remodels, they just aren't up to new standards. With that said, this hotel does have a lot of awesome amenities that are very noteworthy! Let's start with the wonderful staff!! I have to give a shout out to the awesome valet team. They were totally on point. And that doesn't happen a lot at hotels, especially later in the season. But, yeah, they all were very responsive, and we never waited long for our car. Second, the hotel staff was for the most part lovely. They really did go out of their way to make our stay so relaxing. The Westin has several excellent places to dine on property, so if you are hanging out at their pools or beach during the day, or want a nice dinner at night, they definitely have you covered. We tried their buffet breakfast one morning, and it was impressive as well. Excellent spread! The variety of options in dining is something that other hotels are missing. I think this hotel is in the process of doing some remodeling. Our room was remodeled somewhat, but still had some things that needed to be done. I was thrilled to see that finally the old nasty carpet was removed from the room!! Praise the Lord that hotels are finally starting to get it and understand that no one wants to walk on that nasty carpet anymore. So, that is a huge bonus. The hallways and elevators and some other common areas definitely still need work though. You can see the age on the buildings. My husband surprised me with the Presidential Suite for our anniversary, so I've got some pictures I'm going to attach. It was pretty great as far as space goes. I don't think I would pay summer rates for this suite, they definitely need new furniture in the living areas, but overall, it was so great having so much room. Biggest bonus was having our own private fire pit on our extra large balcony. This balcony could seriously fit 50 or 60 people. Downside; if you are looking for privacy and just to get away, that balcony is wide open to all the floors above you, so everyone can see you and hear you when you sit out there. It was a little weird having people right over our heads enjoying our fire pit. Try to ignore people who are literally close enough to feel the heat from the fire pit, but are on a totally different balcony. But anyway, very comfy seating out there. Downside; you are definitely farther back from the beach. You are not right on the beach in the Presidential suite. You have an awesome view of the water, but not of the sand. Overall, we will definitely stay at the Westin again, but I am interested in what their other suites look like. I do fear they have a lot more updates to do to this hotel though.
