How to Get There
The Westin HHI Resort has beautiful rooms and views of the ocean. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The guest bath robes are a nice touch and add to the charm of the room. Really loved the rain shower head, wish I had one at home. The staff was friendly and offered suggestions on attractions and eating establishments.
I recently spent a week at the Westin Hilton Head Resort. I was there with the All-Hazards Incident Management Teams Association for our annual Training and Education Symposium. The hotel is nice, but the layout is a bit odd. Long hallways and elevators that are few and far between. The staff was great, nice and very accommodating. The hotel is isolated, and with no shuttle, it made getting around a challenge. They offered one restaurant and one bar. The food in the restaurant is good but very expensive. My room was nice. Modern, great shower, giant flat screen TV. The only issue was noise. The walls seem to be made of rice paper (kidding), if the guests in the next room were talking, at a conversational level, I could hear every word. Thank goodness I travel with earplugs, or I'd of never slept a wink.
The hotel staff is outgoing, friendly and very helpful while remaining professional.
The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds we extremely comfortable. Our room had a partial view of the ocean and had a very nice private patio.
The wireless while we were there was somewhat problematic. The large screen tv in the room wasn’t able to play network news consistently while we were there. The picture was pixelated and the signal was lost often. Someone from IT needs to review the wireless configuration as signal strength appeared to be good.
Restaurant was very good but is a bit pricey, but that’s not atypical on Hilton Head.
Julie was at the front desk and helped us check in. What a beautiful young lady. She went above and beyond to make us comfortable and helped us with Check in. She represents your hotel with class. We enjoyed meeting her and had a wonderful stay!!
The room is spacious, the windows facing the ocean view are not very clean, neither is the balcony. There are not any USB ports to plug into. Closet space is good and the beds quite comfortable. There are new TV’s in each room. The toilet paper is 1 ply and not impressive. The lighting in the bathroom is in need of renovating as there is quite a bit of peeling going on. The food at the restaurant and the little cafe is expensive. I like this resort, but prefer others on the island. The workout facility is fine, but not large and not all that clean.
