Friendly, attentive staff. Great location with private beach access. Live music and great food. This resort is small in size, but they have a big heart. The staff made me feel special. There is plenty to do in the area. I will be back!

Excellent family vacation spot

The location is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the resort itself is clean and well taken care of. With a toddler, the walk down to the beach was ideal and the pool area is amazing!! Our family will be coming back for sure!

Great Place

I have done numerous reviews on trip advisor because I find them very helpful when choosing a place to stay and dine. I think it’s important to preface my review by saying my wife and I are very easy to please when it comes to travel. I think we would be classified as dry accomodating. We are middle class folks who save and take a 7 night all inclusive vacation once a year (usually Sandals)and a shorter less expensive vacation for 4-5 nights. We are not food con assures either. My my reviews are based on what Inthink others like me would Like to know. “Like minds” if you will.
My wife and I stayed at the beach house June 15-19, 2018 for our 34th wedding anniversary. It was recommended by a friend who stayed for his honeymoon 20 plus years ago.
The Beach House is in a great location right on the beach; close to food and shops. It appeared to be very well maintained.
Check in - Check out was flawless. We arrived hours before our room was ready but changed and went to the beach. Desk told us they would call when room was ready and they followed through. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Our room was a Superior King on the 5th floor with partial view of the ocean. It overlooked the parking lot and roof with a nice view of the ocean in the distance. Room was pretty much a standard room, single sink with tub/shower, really well decorated with beachy nautical theme throughout. Mini fridge and safe (safe did not work). Also k-cup machine and coffee provided. When we arrived, our TV had no signal I called front desk and they sent maintenance immediately. Turned out the cable box had become unplugged. Later that night we called the front desk again thinking we didn’t have hot water. They sent maintenance immediately and it turned out we had hot water, it just takes a while for it to get hot. No big deal.
Housekeeping was a little slow. One day we returned to our room at 5:00 pm and they had been yet. I had them give me some clean towels and all was good.
As I mentioned the hotel is on the beach, so this is probably the biggest upside for everyone. The beach is wide and even wider when the tide goes out. You can rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for $35.00 a day and a discount for consecutive days. We brought our own beach chairs but rented and umbrella every day We were charged $20.00 for first day and $14.00 each day after. You pay the beach patrol ( pick a spot and they will find you) if you pay the day before they have a sign on the chair the following morning that it is reserved and has your name on them. The chairs are extremely close to your neighbor and the beach was crowded. As I mentioned, this is a public beach so,you have people from all over around you. People will set up in front of you with tents and canopies. The rented spots DO NOT give you front row rights to the beach. The water was gorgeous (we live at the beach in Delaware and our water isn’t as warm until August.
The Beach House has the Tki Hut for drinks and live music throughout the day and night. Service was fine music ok. We didn’t hear any bands that would make us go to Tiki Hut to hear them if we weren’t staying at the Beach House. There is a mix of locals as well as Hotel guests.
The Beach House also has The Porch restaurant which has indoor seating and opens up to outdoor seating at the pool. As an IHG member we purchased our room with the breakfast plan. The breakfast was a buffet and very good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, potatoes and an omelette station, assorted breads and pastries. The Bacon was thick cut and amazing. On our last day, we went to breakfast, were seated and went directly to the buffet. We sat down and ate, and never had anyone come over to ask us if we wanted coffee etc. We could have eaten and walked out and they wouldn’t have known. (perhaps we should have waited for the waitress before we went to the buffet like the other mornings). We ate lunch a couple times and it was very good. it took a while to get our lunch on one occasion. It was never crowed when we were there. Overall, The Porch was very good but their seemed to be something missing. My wife felt it was somewhat unorganized, I thought some of the waitresses seemed ...blah.
My wife and I are beach people so never went to the pool. It looked nice and always a lot of folks there and kids! Overall The Beach House is and excellent place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

Loved the remodeled rooms/hotel, restaurant, tiki bar, pool, beach access, fruit water in lobby, breakfast buffet, ability to charge food and drinks to the room.
One thing to improve on would be more hooks in bathrooms to hang towels and wet suits. Other than that the place was amazing.

Location, Location, Location!!!!

This was our 4th year in a row. The location is the best. You have the porch, tiki hut, great pool deck and volleyball courts. View of the beach while at the pool. It's in walking distance of shops and restaurants.
