How to Get There
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable. I loved the view. The food tasted good. However there was one incident where a staff member made an outburst at us which is unacceptable in the tourism industry.
Outside of that one incident. It was an enjoyable stay.
Had such a lovely stay here, the staff were cert friendly and helpful. The Maintenance Mgr went above and beyond to help. The breakfast and bar staff were lovely and the rum punch was amazing.
The rooms were lovely and the view was beautiful...was lovely to hear the sea at night and in the morning. Was worth every penny!!
I cannot understand how this hotel has such a high rating. The rooms are comfortable but most of the staff especially in the Loft upstairs restaurant and some at front desk really need customer service training. I won't go into details. In fact you should do training or refresher training for everybody. I will find a direct way to communicate the details of my experiences. The food is good but the service is sooooooo slooooooow at The Loft. And when you order something, they may come back 10 or more mins later saying they don't have it or half hour later with your order minus the things they don't have and expect you to pay the same price. NOT good. If you cannot supply something consistently, take it off the menu and please tell your wait staff what is or is not available. Respect your customers' time and money. Only go there if you have LOTS of time to kill. Don't say you were not warned. The downstairs Cafe Soleil is a lot better. I was there on business during the lead up to tropical Storm Dorian and can you imagine the front desk staff had no idea if this hotel had a disaster plan. That tells you a lot, doesn't it. Again, staff training and communication issues. If it wasn't for my following of the news, I would never had known a storm was coming. Info flyer was only given to guests the evening before the storm was supposed to arrive because guests started asking what to expect and what's the hotel's plan etc. Wake up Hotel Owner and management! How are guests supposed to feel comfortable not knowing if there is an evacuation plan and how to prepare etc. NOT good enough. There are no excuses for this lackadaisical attitude. And the generator was not working when electricity went after the storm so they had to fix it so there goes the promise on the flyer that the generator would kick in within two mins. Really? I won't say how long it took for the generator to be fixed. Don't they service and test their generators in hurricane season to make sure they actually work and do disaster preparedness drills with staff? I didn't ask as I didn't want to know the answer. Very disappointed with this hotel. Do you care about your guests? If so, you need to work on these things ASAP. Your overall quality is just not up to standard. There are other hotel options nearby - we know about them. I really hope you take my experiences and recommendations seriously and step up your game.
