Nice renovation and staff

We have stayed here on numerous occasions when having to leave on an early flight out of St. Louis the following morning. In the past, it has not been a favorite due to rundown, musty rooms and hallways, average staff for friendliness, and not being the cleanest. We knew they were undergoing a renovation recently and decided to stay here again and were pleasantly surprised. This property needed an overhaul and it is way better than prior stays. The rooms are refreshed as is the entire property. Our room was clearly REALLY new because we had no luggage rack, no bed skirt, no trash can, and a few other small items but we understood and were honestly in the room four hours due to a late arrival and an early departure. The front desk attendant who worked the night shift on November 7 and early morning November 8 was very friendly and helpful. The one problem we experienced is that when we were waiting for the 4 AM shuttle (along with several other guests at the hotel), we had been waiting about 10 minutes and still never saw the shuttle. The driver was in the van off to the side asleep, and we had to wake him up! We will stay here again.

A family fun time

The hotel was awesome. The hospitality, cleanliness, location etc. were great. My family and I enjoyed our stay. Not to mention having Friday's downstairs was very convenient and the food was delicious. We will definitely be staying again.

Avoid the balcony rooms like the plague!

If you enjoy Loud noises (On a quiet floor) and bright BRIGHT lights then these king suites with a balcony are the room for you!
The king suites with a balcony actually look down into the lobby and pool area. Pools where children play are fine, except their joyful noises will carry up the 8 open floors of the wide pyramid atrium and into your non soundproofed room. Or the drunk guy leaving Friday’s who is shouting to his buddy’s! Or the delightful reverberations of the breakfast crews as they set up at 0445am! Every single noise echos.
And Don’t forget the lights! Your balcony overlooks the beautiful atrium which contains the LOBBY which means the damn lights NEVER shut off! Which could be tolerated if the blackout curtains actually fit the length of the wall to the window or reached all the way to the floor (which they do not).

The location was great, but I will look for ANY other hotel to stay in besides this one next time I travel to St. Louis!
