How to Get There
If you are traveling with a family avoid this hotel. It’s outdated, rooms are too small, bathroom is a joke, and it takes an act from God to get more than two wash cloths replaced during your housekeeping. Now to get to the room’s HVAC. We have our Ac set on 40. Been on 40 all day, yet the room is 76*. The maintenance guy has been here once and tried to convince me that the ac will cool down as the evening continues. What? So I asked him to show me the AC evaporator above the shower (which I already checked). The damn thing is not cold and the AC is not running. Not until I showed him this that he devulged that the AC is controlled elsewhere. Everything else about this hotel is nice. They spent a lot of resources in the appearance in the lobby, the bar, the conference rooms, etc. This hotel completely forgets about the rooms you stay in and pay money for.
If the entire hotel was as well run as the lounge this would have been a 5. Joanna and Page did a great job with the breakfast and, although I did not get the names of the ladies that were working for the dinner service it was also excellent. All were very friendly, the food selection was great with service to match. The hotel overall was comfortable and I will return on future trips.
Room was ok but had sporadic housekeeping. Restaurant and bar overpriced. The shuttle drivers were great as were the front desk staff. Attended conference and the rooms worked well for the classes. Airport location was convenient since I came from out of town.
We stayed here for a week while attending a conference & honestly, were very disappointed. The small room & bathroom were not clean (we found an old t shirt wadded up in the corner behind a chair) & the room was never vacuumed, the bathroom counter, sink & mirror were never cleaned, we constantly had to ask for towels during our entire stay & there was literally a layer of dust on everything. There was a charge of $15 per day for wi-fi, which was supposed to be waived for those attending the conference, but the codes they gave never worked, so we used the mobile hotspot on our phones. I would've expected much better service & a nicer, cleaner room for the prices they charge. I think it's safe to say we'll never be back & honestly-we've stayed in Best Westerns that were leaps & bounds much nicer, cleaner & much more confortable than this hotel for a lot less money.
The hotel is very well maintained and elegant but what makes this place shine is the staff, hands-down. I was at this hotel for a conference and had the opportunity to meet several staff members. Paige & Joanne in the concierge lounge were a great way to start my day. I am an early riser and these ladies were kind enough to let me sit in the concierge lounge and relax before the lounge officially opened. All the staff in the lounge were great and I'm sorry I didn't take the chance to learn more names. Oh, and the food was outstanding! Other names to mention are Alan for the pleasant conversation and the shuttle drive to the hotel. I'm not sure what George's title is but he was my contact for some computer/WiFi stuff and he was attentive to my needs above and beyond my expectations. I also had the chance to talk with Tracy from catering. ALL the staff I dealt with were caring, attentive, and all around nice people. I would come here again in a heartbeat. THANKS!
