Love this Lodge
Reviewed 2 months ago

Our latest visit to Swain's was our second and will probably become an annual event for us. We love this lodge because of the wonderful staff (personable, kind, and gracious). The owner, Cheryl Bastian, treats every guest as if they are the most important client on the property. When weather forced us to change our reservation, she did so quickly, professionally and made sure our accommodations were comfortable. The food was great last year, but this year the food service staff and dinner cook, Pam, really stepped up their game. I have worked in food service for over 10 years, and I was very impressed with the freshness of the produce, the plate presentation, the Bahamian flavors of the seafood, and the quality of the entrees. We go to bonefish the flats. The guides are excellent and put you on fish. I am a novice fly fisher, and our guides were very helpful with tips and positioning the boat so that you get the best presentation to catch a bonefish. If you are looking for a laid back and comfortable lodge to go fishing with great food, accommodations, and service, look no further than Swain's Cay Lodge.

Beautiful get away

My daughter and I stayed at Swain's Cay Lodge over Christmas. It was like visiting the home of a friend. Beautiful views, comfortable rooms, excellent food and an owner (Cheryl) who goes out of her way to make sure your stay is enjoyable.
But note, if hustle & bustle is your style, this island isn't for you. It won't be you and 1,000 of your fellow hotel guests rushing to find a spot by the pool. If relaxing on your own corner of beach heaven, spending time with family, eating delicious food and meeting new people is in-line with your vacation dreams, this place is tops !
When the tide is low, you can walk the beach for miles. Plenty of sea life to see (sea urchins, sand dollars, star fish, conch, etc).

Beautiful, Secluded Spot.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The fishing was great (challenging, as targeting bonefish always is, but great), and there was plenty for the non-fishing members of our group to do. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was very good, and accommodations were very nice. Planning to return!

Great Place!!!

Excellent time at Swain's Cay Lodge. This is my fourth year staying there and it just keeps on getting better. Cheryl, the owner, is wonderful. The lodging, food, location, and friendliness are fantastic.

Grand Slam experience!
Reviewed 5 months ago

Swain's Cay Lodge delivered a grand slam home run on my recent stay, which was my first fly fishing for bonefish experience. It's a package deal here, that included room, meals, and guided fishing. Here's the grand slam:
1. Spacious, air conditioned, clean rooms with lots of towels and comfortable beds;
2. Outstanding food, and I mean outstanding. Cooked to order breakfasts, packed lunches and superb dinners. In five nights the dinners were: ribs, lobster, cracked conch, chicken curry, and snapper. Every one delicious!;
3. Great location for bonefishing the Middle Bight, South Bight, and both east and west sides of the island;
4. Personal service and attention to detail. Cheryl Bastian, owner, is on site and supervises everything to make sure guests are comfortable and satisfied. You can tell the difference a woman's touch makes. All staff made us feel welcomed and appreciated.
I can't wait to go back!
