Best Villas we have been to. Wish they had comparable properties in Florida. Shuttle to restaurants and shopping lets us skip the rental car. Golf right next door. Same staff for years makes it nice to see them each year.

Westin Kierland a Southwest Treasure

Enjoyed 5 days after Thanksgiving at this beautiful resort. Christmas decorations were up and everywhere was very festive. Loved the property with lots of greenery and shaded trees. Quiet pool and spa (adult) were greatly appreciated. Great concierge assistance. Fun wine tasting evening and shuttle service to The Commons was very efficient. I will be back!

Fun Family Time with Outstanding Service

Our family of four with two daughters (13 and 10 y/o) stayed in a 1-BR Villa on the first floor of building 4. The size of our villa was just right for us. We had a kitchenette which was just fine for us since we ate out for most meals at the many restaurant choices in the neighboring area from quick-bites to high-end establishments. The room was well-maintained, clean, and extremely comfortable. Part of our vacation was to celebrate our 10 year-old daughter's birthday, and we were welcomed with a surprise teddy bear gift for her on arrival.

The pool area was well-maintained and clean. The water temperature was just right given that daytime temperatures were in the 60's. The pool staff checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed from towels to water to food. One of the staff brought us a bird net to protect our food from the birds while stepped into the pool or spa. The staff was consistently attentive and friendly.

They have many places to eat on the property. We only ate at four establishments on the entire property. We ate a few meals at Mcdowell's Grill as take-out to the room and also for pool service. The food and drinks were delicious. The fried foods were the perfect temperature and crispiness. We also had the bruschetta, fish tacos and hot dogs. Yum! We also stopped in for root beer floats, frozen yogurt happy hours which were quite good. On the resort side, we had incredible desserts at the Sweet Shoppe. The prices seemed a little high, but after having two of the desserts we felt it was reasonable. The taste and presentation made the whole experience amazing. We ate at Nellie Cashman's for lunch one day and found the service and food okay. For two nights, we went to the s'mores event which was phenomenal. We had our choice of marshmallow flavors, graham cracker flavor, and chocolate type. My favorite was regular marshmallow coupled with dark chocolate in between cinnamon graham crackers. The strawberry marshmallow was a hit with the kids.

The kids' staff and facilities on both the resort and villas sides made the trip fun for our youngest. Having her happy made the rest of us happy. Wink wink! The activities were simple yet fun. Everyday she circled 2-3 activities she wanted to attend, and our schedule worked around them. Haha! One of the activities was a Name that Tune at the pool which scored us free alcoholic drinks and snow cones. On the resort side, we would like to thank Erin and Aimee who were attentive and always had smiles. They went out of their way to stay a little longer to make sure we got the most out of each activity. I would like to give a particularly loud shout out to Dena on the Villas side. We did the Escape Room with her and many poolside activities. She even led a Happy Birthday song to our baby girl! When I was going down the water slide, she gave me a couple of extra hints to help me go faster. Fun!

I think that aside from the great facilities, cleanliness, and quality of food, what made this experience stand out for us was the quality of the staff. Our concierge, Cat, contacted us a few times before our arrival to make sure everything we needed was ready and any questions were answered. I really appreciated her help and willingness to go the extra mile. Dena was outstanding. She really made the trip for us. Thank you!

Ants in villas
Reviewed 3 days ago

The bathroom layout is terrible. It's hard to get in and out of the tub. Very dangerous. We were in the one bedroom deluxe villa. The most disturbing point was we encountered ants in the bathroom. They offered to change but did not volunteer anyone to assist. This is the 2nd time we've had ant problems as the first time was in our kitchen drawers. Disgusting!

The room is always clean and has extra amenities. Great view of the golf course from balcony. The walk to the hotel to hear the bag pipes is pleasant. The Villa is close to alot of outside services. The pool wasn't very crowded the end of November so it was easy to get a lounge.
