How to Get There
The Canyon Suites offer a quiet, secluded retreat within the grounds of the large and elegant Phoenician Resort. It's a nice combination as you get the personalized service and calm atmosphere of a small hotel along with all of the amenities of one of Arizona's premier resorts.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and remember your name after your first greeting. The grounds are beautiful with a wonderful blend of native desert landscaping along with grass and palm trees. There are a lot of water features including fountains, both inside and out, and a gorgeous waterfall cascading over large rocks just outside the lobby. The pool is spotlessly clean with excellent poolside service, or you can visit the large complex of pools and the waterslide at the main hotel. The new athletic complex is stunning.
This hotel also has one of the most central and convenient locations in the Phoenix metro area. It has a feeling of seclusion at the foot of Camelback Mountain, but it is a short drive to downtown Phoenix and only a few minutes to Old Town Scottsdale.
Finally, one of my favorite features is the large balconies. We were fortunate to have warm, sunny weather during our January stay and it was a super pleasant to sit out on the large balcony and enjoy the sunshine.
Recently visited with a party of 13! Which includes 6 guests under age 6! First, the friendliness and genuine nature of every single employee on staff was beyond wonderful. From the gentlemen greeting us as we first pulled up, to our room attendant to the starter on their beautiful golf course - every single one of them was eager to help, and gracious.
Every morning at the Canyon Resorts there was buffet style breakfast (one egg dish, one pancake offering each day, a vast array of fresh fruits, bagels, lox, cereals, juices... literally everyone was able to easily find something to eat. Sharon was an absolute joy! She LOVED that we had kids, and every morning would cut up a different fruit animal for them (great way to start the day). Some pictures of her creations are included.
We utilized all aspects of the resort, the gym, tennis courts, beautiful golf course, all the pools (and water slide) and the top notch spa. The rooms were huge! The shower was gorgeous (spacious and excellent water pressure paired with amazing beauty products - it’s a wonder I ever left the room!).
Not the least expensive route to take, but if you’re looking to have a total relaxation vacation - this is the place to be!
I stayed at The Canyon Suites a few weeks back on business for a conference my company was holding. I wasn't expecting to be greeted by such helpful and attentive staff that made my stay extraordinary - Kate at the front desk was like an old friend, so sweet and accommodating to my every request. Cherish was also a huge help finding me a wall street journal when it was nearly impossible to find one anywhere! Steve always had a bottle of water ready for me when he saw me walking back from the gym and Cody (I think that's his name) was an all around great guy who was always willing to lend a hand to help me when i was carrying stacks of reports up to my room. This place is great but the staff is what makes it awesome. I am already planning to come back next year with my girlfriend for our anniversary. 10 out of 10.
Outstanding service, amenities, and even animal shaped fruit for the kids. Packed bags for our hike, car service included with the room, quiet pool facilities, and great pool side service. Definitely recommend!
This exceed my expectations. We stayed in a 1 bedroom Suite-it was spacious with great amenities. The room had a 1.5 bath and tons of closet space. Had a nice view of the golf course. The balcony had comfortable seating area to lounge. There is a decent selection of breakfast. Grounds were immaculate and location was great. We also enjoyed the cactus garden/trail. Will definitely return and love that this hotel is pet friendly :)
