We booked a king room with our Marriott points, when we arrived the only room available was a handicapped room. The room reeked, had a horrible view of the garbage area, and were woke promptly at 6am by garbage trucks! This hotel needs updating but has a great location. We were on a brief getaway without kids hoping to sleep in, enjoy hot tub(which seats one couple comfortably 😬)and walk and enjoy area...location is great, that’s about it. Enjoyed the area not the hotel.

This hotel is in a great location which is why they charge so much. Otherwise the room was fine, but smelled really bad like stale cigarette smoke. I called to tell the front desk but they didnt care and never sent housekeeping like they said they would. The room was quiet but the layout is weird.

Nice AZ Marriott property on. a shockingly cold weekend....

I was de facto trapped in the Marriott Suites both because I was part of team reviewing 1200+ applications, which took that long - and also because the weather was horribly un-Arizonan, which is to say rainy (!!) and cold! The public spaces on the first floor reflected the outdoor chill to far too great a degree, possibly because the automatic entrance doors spent a bunch more time open that one might anticipate (they close sorta slowly) allowing the temperature inside and outside to equilibrate to far too great a degree, especially in the conference room spaces and their associated corridors. I had not really prepared for that kind of cold in AZ, so spent a bunch of time in layers, looking a bit like a vagrant, my hands clutching hot coffee or tea to keep the digits warm and working.

The unanticipated climate issues aside, the hotel has a lot to recommend it. The suite-style rooms are warm (!!) and spacious and quiet. The workout facility is very well equipped and available 24/7 (important when you're going cross-eyed from reading too many applications and need some way to wake back up). The bar makes a mean rye manhattan on the rock (one giant, perfectly round ice cube - made for ideal cocktail temperature and progressive dilution). Their dinner menu was surprisingly varied, and everything I tried was well prepared, so I felt no need to brave the weather for meals.

I don't know that I'll get back to Scottsdale anytime soon, but maybe, if I'm there in slightly warmer weather, I can give the Old Town district a look and I'd definitely stay here again.

If visiting Old Town Scottsdale this is a nicely located hotel. All the great sights, shops and restaurants are nearby. Very nice suites. Pool area was underwhelming but not an issue. Room was clean & comfortable. *No idea why room wasn’t serviced during our stay*

Great Location but a bit average

This is a great location if you want to walk all over downtown and old town Scottsdale. The people who work here are friendly and nice. The lobby and breakfast on weekends is good. The rooms are big and we had room for our kids but the bathroom is dated. The biggest complaint is that housekeeping never came to our room. We didn't call because by the time we got back to the room at 4pm we did not want people in there. But we were gone all day and thought that was pretty bad.
