How to Get There
My husband and I travelled to Scottsdale with our son whom was 9 months at the time and stayed at Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountains for two nights (April 7th and April 8th). We had a wonderful experience and it is in a great location. The resort grounds are beautifully kept and our room was very spacious and clean. They also had a full wheel in crib with a proper mattress for our son to sleep in where as some hotels only have a pack and play style without a proper mattress. I highly recommend this resort if traveling with young children as they are very accommodating. I also highly recommend the restaurant on site as the food was delicious.
This hotel far exceeded the high standards set by Marriott. We loved our room, with a bed so comfortable that I wished I could take it home with me. The bedding and pillows were just as wonderful! The hotel was absolutely beautiful, with a large, accommodating lobby, wonderful restaurant, and many other amenities. I enjoyed dining on the patio overlooking the pool, and room service was fantastic! The pool was beautiful, and I enjoyed my afternoons there. Service was beyond excellent, and will stay here again as we visit Scottsdale frequently. Highly recommend!!!!!
I had a very nice one night stay here. I arrived frazzled due to multiple travel issues and arrived late The front desk was very very welcoming and nice. My Marriott Platinum status was recognized and I was upgraded (to a better view, not room) in the “other” building. The view to the golf course and mountains was great and actually worth the long walk to and from the room. The front desk was very accommodating to my (sort of unreasonable) request to scan and email documents to me. I found them just fantastic in every way. I also enjoyed the bartender at the one restaurant for dinner and a few beers. Very engaging and conversational. He is a frequent visitor to my own little beach town as his dad was stationed at the near-by military facility. I really enjoyed talking with him. The tri-tip was just OK. The local beer he recommended was great. We had a good laugh about a beer he didn’t recommend, but gave me a taste just we I would understand how strange it was. And it was. Strange. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable if not exactly up to date. I would stay again if business brings me to the area again. I am not sure I would choose it as a “resort” destination. I think it is classified as a resort.
My husband and I have stayed here twice. We love it. It is peaceful and nice for couples. Love the spacious rooms. The separate shower and tub are a major plus. We will definitely be coming back for more stays in the future.
My wife and I wanted a quick, romantic get-away that was more reasonably priced than the other Marriot's in the area and the Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountains was perfect for us. We are Gold status and were given a terrific upgrade to a premium room overlooking the golf course. We just hung out by the pool and chilled in our room. We sat on our balcony with coffee early in the morning and watched quail and rabbits foraging for breakfast while birds flew in and out of their nests in the three big saguaro cactus on the property. Really serene. Wonderful mattress and pillows had assured a great nights sleep. The first day we enjoyed lunch on the patio, thanks Sho-Way for the personable service! Breakfast on the patio the next day was also very good, thanks Grace and Ivy. We'll be back!
