Wonderful Staff

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I was attending a conference at the hotel. The hotel had a complimentary shuttle service and the concierge staff was the very best. They took such great care of my wife.

Shabby Cheap

I requested a quiet room, and I got one, check. Coffee ready in the lobby each morning at 6 a.m., check.

The bed & mattress? Thumbs down for a soft and worn down mattress and for straight sheets (why not use fitted sheets?) that don't even come to the bottom of the mattress. Resort fee? You really charge $25 every single day for Wifi/internet? And you don't include this cost in the total reservation amount on Hilton.com? You have to be kidding me !

This hotel is in a very good location, but it has nary seen a meaningful facelift and remodel in the past 30 years. Come on Hilton, quit milking it !

Good Value + Location

Stayed here while attending a recent Trade Show since the Hilton Rooms were so much less expensive.
As a Resort, this Hilton has a lot to offer. Nice pool + hot tub and deck and Flemings Steakhouse.
Want to commend the staff who offered to relocate me to another room after a minor HVAC issue surfaced.
Always nice to have the HHonors comp breakfast, though I would recommend to Hilton Management to offer free full breakfast to Gold Members rather than just Continental.
Hard to find a better value in Scottsdale than this Hilton.

Very poor customer service with atttitude to boot! AVOID.

We stayed at a villa which was nice and the housekeeping staff was amazing!
However the front desk staff was not, neither was the so called "management".
We stayed for 4 days and they charge you 25 dollars a day - "resort fee"- for internet, among other unidentified "amenities".
However, the internet did not work- despite calling the front desk three times.
When we checked out we asked to be refunded for the resort fee- but we were told to talk to a manager who was of course not there.
When we called back a few days later we were given the run around and eventually asked to leave a voice mail to an anonymous director...needless to say no money was ever suggested as compensation, and since we are not Hilton Honors members that was not an option. Nor should it be as it forces you to stay at another problematic venue (we stayed at the Gainney Suites last year and it was GREAT).
Hilton has this so called "we will make it right" policy - But they should call it "make it wrong"...very disappointing. Further, our villa was adjacent to the street with significant traffic and sweeper noise at midnight and at 2 am..so much fun...
Lesson learned.

Final Impression is a lasting impression

Overall my stay with average, I wouldn't have any complaints, until my experience with the front desk clerk handling my check out. She was rude and dismissive which took my overall experience from average to poor.
