How to Get There
We were in town for a couple of days and decided to stay in downtown Phoenix, which turned out to be a great experience! This hotel was the highlight of the stay. As Marriott Platinum, we were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite. My wife kept telling me that it was the best hotel room she'd stayed in. I have to agree. We were on the northeast side of the building, which is, in my opinion, the best. From this vantage point, you can see Camelback Mountain, Piestewa Peak, the Uptown Central Corridor, into Scottsdale, Sky Harbor airport, etc. The view from the bathtub was breathtaking!
All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was quality, but best of all, the bed was outstanding!
I worked for Westin a long time ago. I can see that the high standards have been carried forward after all these years!
Hotel was great, right in downtown Phoenix. Amenities include a gym, valet parking, pool and a restaurant/bar.
Room was huge, rain forest shower and service was kind and helpful all through my stay.
Just one note: Phoenix downtown is not as humming as other metropolitan cities I've visited, but had great dining experience in the area.
Very nice overnight stay for a business conference in Phoenix. My colleagues said their rooms were great as well. I got a complimentary upgrade to a corner suite. As usual the Westin bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom had a large stand-up shower and a HUGE soaking tub. There was a large desk and seating area with sectional upon entering the room from the hall.
I arrived late, and had some work to do. Late night room service was very good. The menu was pretty diverse, and delivery was prompt (quicker than they promised).
Beautiful, large room and a great gym for workouts. The pool area is nice and gets shade although the pool is quite small in size. Very easy walk to the convention centre, right beside a metro station and the in-house restaurant had delicious food. Area itself isn't very bustling, but perfect for a business traveller and Uber gets you quickly and cheaply to other areas of the city like Glendale for seeing sports games. Front desk staff were always willing to help.
For being in downtown, our room was great! 2 queen beds plus a nice size sofa to relax on and a desk. Bathroom was very roomy as well. Everything was clean. We had club level access and they had a hot breakfast in the morning of scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage and your choice of bread options, cereal, and fruit. OJ and drinks were also there. Water and soda was available throughout the day. I was a little disappointed in that when we went up in the evening after dinner, there was only like cheese and cracker type hors d'oeuvres. No sweets for dessert.
I am not use to staying in a downtown environment so to see the rail station directly in front of the valet was different. Did not feel safe just leaving car. Did make sure I personally handed the car keys off to the valet. Easy check in and check out. If needed, yes I would stay there again.
