How to Get There
Spotless, quiet, close to restaurants and a farmer market. We took transit from the airport right to the door. The restaurant attached to the hotel had a fabulous breakfast. The gym onsite had great equipment and they even had running shoes and gym clothes for a $5 rental as well as maps to run in the city.
We got a corner studio room. It's a large room with a tub situated next to the window. There was ample space to spread out, with a large desk, a sectional, refrigerator and 3 closets. On top of the window tub, the bathroom had double sinks and a two person shower. And the room was in excellent condition.
All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, especially Rose at the desk. We had access to the Club Lounge as well. Breakfast and snacks were great as well.
Since it's located in the heart of downtown as well as directly across from Central Station, getting around was a snap.
If there is one thing that's weird, it's that the access to the pool isn't handicap friendly. There is a service elevator to the pool, but a staff member has to get the person to and from there.
I stayed 14Apr-16Apr. Ambassador Elite status was recognized. I very much appreciated the corner suite upgrade. The room was fantastic -- my favorite feature is the bathtub, which I referred to as my bathpool when telling friends about it: it is oversized and I was amazed when I was able to simply spend ten minutes floating in it, with only my feet touching the tub. Lovely views, as well. The staff was wonderful throughout, and I also appreciated the executive lounge at this property. I'd love to know the brand and model of that tub-- I might need to buy one myself!
Had a fabulous time at Austin Marriott hotel. I came back home to Phoenix fired up about exclusively staying at Marriott properties. Called Phoenix Westin to ask permission for tour and use of facility. I wanted to get my wife’s opinion and see if she wanted to switch exclusively to Marriott and I wanted us to consider Phx Westin for future staycation. Management approved visit. We drove 40 minutes there with our 6 month only baby only to be turned away. As a sorry they offered me one free drink at the bar. I was both embarrassed and livid that we wasted all this time and effort. I complained with Marriott customer service but never received a call with an explanation or apology on what happened. Austin hotel called me a week after I filed a review to see how they could make my next stay even better. Complete night and day experience!
Spacious clean rooms and great air conditioning. The food service was great and the lounge was well maintained. We actually enjoyed a lot - the only issue the pool is not pretty. The teams were responsive / you might need to push your own luggage cart. Great Value
