How to Get There
I love the Camby for many reasons; the location is prime (walking distance to great restaurants and 30 seconds from my morning latte at Starbucks), it's modern yet upscale, and very clean. I first decided to stay at the Camby based purely on location and the fact that I love fancy hotels. The views of Camelback Mountain during my first stay were breathtaking. I had the pleasure of meeting Zach, one of the Directors, and Nyah at the front desk-both were welcoming and accommodating. Truth be told, I am not the easiest guest to please. I am a clean freak and need complete quiet to have a good night's rest and I make sure every hotel knows this upon check in- i'm in hotels 4 nights a week for work. The Camby did not disappoint. The rooms are pristine and the hotel is quiet b/c the majority of guests are business travelers who have early meetings. I love the fact that I have stayed there countless times and the experience is consistent; quiet, clean, fancy, and friendly. What more can you ask for?
I'm terrible with names, but everyone at the front desk and at the valet always seem to remember mine which makes me feel like i'm at home. I recently celebrated my birthday and the staff surprised me with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and nice card!
If I had to make one critique, it would be at the Artizen which is there bar/restaurant. While the vibe is fun, the service could use a bit of work. The bartenders seem easily overwhelmed.
Overall, this is one of my favorite hotels in the West. You will not be disappointed!
Loved staying at this boutique hotel during the holidays. The hotel bar was great and you must try the bacon truffle popcorn. No concierge level available but the restaurant food was very good. I will most definitely stay here again.
Client recommended the hotel and it did not disappoint. The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were clean, the hotel was quite and conveniently located across from good restaurants. (walk under the main road easy access and short walk). Workout room has nice equipment and kept up well. Starbucks and Movie theater short walk away. Nice boutique hotel.
This was my first tine visiting the Camby and was I in for a positive surprise. Great staff, great rooms and great ambiance. Now having said all this it is not for everyone. For instance, families may not prefer this location nor people prefer more traditional style hotels...the decor is very modern but beyond that feels like a slightly upscale Marriott with modern decor. Restaurant is great called Artizen and is a fun spot at night around the outdoor fire pit. Overall, great hotel.
Stayed 5 nights on a business trip, this is an ideal hotel for business travelers in the Phoenix area. Rooms are quiet, nicely furnished and appointed. Bathroom was a bit on the small side but was recently redone with high end finishes. Service was friendly and efficient throughout my stay. The Artisan restaurant at the hotel is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The bar is awesome, specializing in craft cocktails, and service is outstanding. I ate 6-7 times and everything I ordered was fresh and well prepared. I especially recommend the Steak Tartare, probably the best I have ever had.
