Best wedding venue for destination wedding in phoenix AZ
Reviewed 2 days ago

My husband and I got married on 03/02/2019 at Different Pointe of View, Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. This was the best decision we made! From day one when we showed interest in having our wedding at this location, the staff was OUTSTANDING! Traci and her team have tremendous experience, hard-working, professional, reliable and genuine. I remember she was out of town the weekend we decided to have dinner at DPOV for the first time. She made a few calls and we had the table with the best view and treated ever so well! Besides the view,Traci was one of the reasons why we chose this venue. We felt so confident moving forward with her and her team. She made wedding planning SO much easier from the beginning and she was PRESENT on the day of our wedding. Whenever I felt anxious with questions about our wedding, Traci was prompt to respond and alleviated my anxieties with solutions. It's ideal for couples looking for an all-in-one venue! Their pastry chef Lara made our cake-it was stunning and delicious! We did not have to rent cocktail tables/lounge chairs and saved us such as hassle! We had our rehearsal at Pointe in Tyme on the same property! Our wedding ceremony was on the outside patio of DPOV, reception at restaurant and dancing at terrace room. Most of our guests flew in from around the world and Pointe Hilton was the ideal place for our guests to stay! They were able to attend our wedding and enjoy a fun weekend at the pool and spa. My husband and I got a complimentary wedding suite and it was lovely! We highly recommend DPOV and Pointe Hilton as your wedding venue! Not only was the planning process made simple but our guests are still talking about it ALL!

Some good some not so good...

So the good included delicious food across the board, a very pretty view from their Point of View restaurant, and nice spacious rooms with a separate living room area from the bedroom. Most of the workers were also pleasant. The bad included too many buildings and those same buildings looking dated. Also had room that required taking the service elevator down which was somewhat creepy and very slow. Also there was pooled water everywhere due to the inclement weather.....

Not worth the cost

Beautiful resort. There was water on floor from a leak somewhere. Bed blocked entrance to bedroom. So it was hard to roll in a suitcase into the bedroom. Bathroom was so small. Shower and toilet in a small room. Tv in living room ony some channels worked. went to the showers at golf shop and they had no towels and was told I had to walk and get the towels at the pool area. Staff was very friendly. Lots of pools everywhere. Free washer and dryer was great. But with how bad the room was it Was not worth the cost per night.

we love this place

This was our second stay here and we loved it both times. We used the golf facilities, the spa, four different pools (all great), the restaurant, the gift shop and the concierge service. All the staff were great.

We arrived at Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs expected a high quality establishment. Immediately after check in we were told the complimentary bell hop service would be there to pick us up within a few minutes. After waiting outside the lobby for nearly 20 minutes with no help another group of guests flagged down a ride. Upon entering the room we immediately noticed a musty smell of old cigarette smoke. The furnishings were out-dated and the patio door was broken. The shower was in poor working order. Although we were charged extra to use the resort amenities, one of the pools was closed, the bars at the pools were not open, the concierge service (promised of 3 to 4 minute wait) was a minimum of 20 minute wait time. One of the nights we had a reservation for dinner and I called ahead to schedule a ride and was told to call back later when I needed the ride to be there. It had started to rain as I called a second time confirming that I now needed the ride. We were instructed to wait outside the building for our ride. We stood in the rain and wind for 20 minutes before I walked back to the room and called again. I was told that someone would be sent immediately and to wait outside again. Finally after about 10 more minutes a golf cart came to pick us up for our dinner reservation. I was charged an extra $225 at check in and the advertised price if $183 per night somehow vanished in the booking process and the stay was over 300 per night.
