How to Get There
I stayed here years ago when I was a local. We found ourselves back on Phoenix for a couple of days having relocated to Chicago. Out of all of the places we had stayed in the past, this one came to mind. It was once again a great choice. Great customer service, clean, scenic and quiet. Pools were actually heated, which isn’t easy to find in AZ in winter from what I recall.
It is set back pretty far from the highway as opposed to the WildHorse Casino Hotel, so it is much quieter. There is also an outlet mall between the two properties.
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the natural surroundings, I wouldnt’t hesitate to stay at the Sheraton.
This is our second time staying at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass. We spent a little longer here than last visit. The grounds are lovely. Of course all dessert landscaping. Lovely pools and a beautiful man made replica of the Gila River. The resort is on the Gila Indian Community Reservation. The hotel is large, clean and very attractive. Beautiful surrounding and lovely scenery. A very distinctive fragrance is disseminated through the common areas of the hotel. I'm looking forward to going back just for that lovely fragrance. Hotel offers a free shuttle to the Casino at Wild Horse Pass, to near by outlets. There is a free round trip boat ride down the man made Gila River from the hotel. Not very long but fun and informative with the Captain of the boat. Hotel lobbies (yes, one up and one down) make lovely relaxing areas. Especially with a beautiful water fall and the hotel all decked out in Christmas decorations. Very inviting.
Although a conference resort, plan an off season visit for premier service and hospitality- not to mention a sensational desert oasis. Don’t be fooled by the city hype, stay here to truly relax.
Breakfast was really a treat, not just an offering. And any review about dinner you read does not compare with your real experience.
I stayed here Nov 25-29 and absolutely loved it. The property is gorgeous and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful and will do whatever they can to ensure your stay is great. My room was very clean and spacious with a nice balcony that was perfect a perfect place to enjoy my morning coffee and evening sunset. I will definitely stay here again whenever I return to Phoenix.
I absolutely loved the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, this is a really beautiful resort with gorgeous pool area, scenic walks along the river, day spa, tennis, golf and equestrian activities. The staff were all super friendly and helpful too. The rooms were very comfortable. I was sad to leave!
