What does paradise mean to you? Is it a spacious luxury villa on a white-sand beach? If so, you’ll take quite a shine to Flamingo Residences, whose namesake vacation homes are set around the pristine shores of Costa Rica’s Playa Flamingo. The seaside setting and well-appointed, kitchen-equipped two-story abodes aren’t the only things to love about this TripAdvisor favorite, either – as a guest, you can take advantage of all sorts of fun tropical activities, like surfing; snorkeling; sea kayaking; and swimming in the two pools, one of which has an infinity edge.
After a busy day of bocce ball, basketball or beach volleyball, or a lazy day of doing nothing at all, retreat to your well-appointed digs, which also boast a kitchen, a dining room, a living area, two terraces and two bedrooms. Arrange a meal with the private chef, who might prepare produce from a local market or the groceries that were purchased before your arrival; receive a treatment from the massage therapist; or plan an outing for a later date. There are tons of other paradises to explore in the region, if you can tear yourself away from this one. Ask the concierge to set up a tour of a cave or the cloud forest, a bath in hot springs, a casino night or a leisurely tube down a peaceful river.

Costa Rica=Playa Flamingo=The Palms=Casa Chocolate #22. You need not look further for the perfect vacation. This was our first trip to Costa Rica. We chose The Palms because of the stellar reviews of the staff and the accommodations. We picked Unit 22, Casa Chocolate, because of the high end electronics, location of the condo, and eye appealing decor. We had just come from The Springs Resort and thinking this part of the vacation would be a let down. Boy, were we wrong. Kristen met us as we drove through the guard gate to take us to our condo and Ariel, the bartender, brought us a welcome drink from the outside bar. Casa Chocolate was everything the VRBO review stated and more. The kitchen cupboards were well stocked with the basics, which was a plus. You can prepare meals from the gourmet kitchen, or order off the menus provided for simple and tasty meals, which are made in a kitchen on property and delivered to your condo, or wherever you plant yourself on the property. If you give them a credit card at the Office you can charge everything and settle up on departure. If you are going to prepare your own meals don’t wait until you get to Playa Flamingo to buy groceries. Although the local grocery store is very nice, and includes liquor and beer, it isn’t very large and your selection will be limited. You can also purchase fresh fish from a vendor that comes every Tuesday and Friday, and delicious German baked goods from another vendor on Tuesdays. The Palms also offers a delicious meal prepared by the excellent on site Chef, Louis, every Friday evening ($75 per person), which includes an open bar and a band. Call the Palms office to confirm these amenities, as different seasons may have different offers and prices. There isn't a restaurant on property, but after watching the beautiful sunset at The Palms, Coco Loco’s is only a quick walk on the beach with excellent food and friendly servers. On the way back you have the brilliant stars and moon to light the way back. A shout out to the awesome office staff; Karina, Alejandro, Sarah, Johnathan and Denice. They will set up tee times for golf, horseback riding, sunset snorkeling/sunset cruises, ATV tours, zip lining, and very reasonable transportation to all these activities......before or after you arrive. We can’t close without mentioning Carlos, the owner of Casa Chocolate. His response to all inquiries were answered within hours, if not less. He has managed to offer a high end condo with all the bells and whistles with a comfortable family feel. ALL the staff at The Palms mirrors Carlos for providing the best possible vacation, and we were 200% happy with our vacation.
Safe, clean and the resort staff were very friendly and helpful. Took several tours and enjoyed them all. Our favorite activity was the catamaran with snorkeling, nice dinner and beautiful sunset. The food was amazing!
With a full kitchen and Coco Loco close by, you can have it all. The pool was great for the kids. The staff is very helpful. There are lots of options for excursions. Small menu exists for Breakfast and Lunch.
Highly recommend - white sand beach, well kept grounds with nice pool and pleasant service. We stayed for a week and took day trips with Javier from lovingcostarica.com and had a perfect vacation. You'll have opp to get beach experience here and then take day trips into rain forest, volcanos, etc. within 90 min from here.
