How to Get There
Nicely appointed rooms. We had a view of the ocean.
Quiet and peaceful.
Staff just lovely and immediately respond to solve questions/problems.
Food is good.
Pools are lovely and other entertainment areas developed with lots of wellbeing in mind.
Unfortunately it is impossible to swim in the ocean of the hotel's private beach (riptides, etc)
We were totally trapped in one place, no shops or alternative restaurants/activities: the resort is part of a gated community on a bumpy dirt road in the middle of nowhere. Getting to a swimable beach means renting a car or paying top dollar for the hotel shuttle.
Food is quite expensive (and menu limited).
It is an excellent place to disconnect and rest, Out of the way, way out of the way. Room was clean very ample. Attention from staff was very good. A place to rest and not be bothered. not much activity as such, but nice grounds, pool and such.Menu of restaurant was not real ample, but food was good. Beach is open water, no real undercurrent and plenty of waves for wave jumping. San Juanillo Beach only about 15 minutes away for a bay of calm water for swimming. And next to it a deserted beach that is very rocky, but also great to be away from majority of the public.
Internet available and free, but very slow and limited in capacity/speed.
Overall a very nice place.
Food is to die for! pool side service at the adult only pool is outstanding! Bianca and Mariano will hook you up! Our.cocktails never ran dry! The best on the resort and when asked how... “ made with love”. Will desturn for sure,
This place was professional from check in to check out. We had caught some fish in Nosara, and they were able to store most of it in the freezer and make some of it for each meal. Their prep was top notch.
They accommodated us in every way, this place is a diamond in the rough.
They also arranged our guide for the sea turtle experience in neighboring Playa Ostenial.
We had a party of 6 staying here. Overall it was a nice experience. Our room and property were clean. However, some of the other party had rooms that were not quite in order. Being the off season and very few visitors, you would expect the rooms to be in tip-top shape. The staff was quick to fix the problems.
Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The ocean view from our room was amazing! The grounds were clean - and full of wildlife...We saw monkeys taking mangos, iguanas hanging out and frogs leaping around.
The gym although clean and has an a/c, the equipment (treadmill) needs servicing - very loud. There is a game room - however, no a/c so it makes it difficult to enjoy playing games. It is highly recommended to add an a/c to this room.
Access to the beach was blocked by brush and a small stream of water, that was too deep and/or wide to pass through without being submerged up to your knees. It is recommended to make sure the brush is removed on a regular basis and perhaps build a bridge over the stream allowing everyone who wants to enjoy the sand can do so without having to figure out a way to get over the water.
Overall our experience and stay were memorable and very positive. We hope to be return in the near future.
