Paradise, amazing service!

My husband and I stayed at Matachica for 5 days/4nights over Labor day weekend. This resort is amazing and perfect for a get away from it all. The private casitas are so nice and have everything you would need and nicely designed. The food is very good and we didn't get anything we didn't like. It is a little pricey, but that is to be expected at a private resort such as this. Besides the amazing views, beach and peaceful property the staff really makes this place FANTASTIC. They are all so welcoming, helpful, happy and will get you any and everything you need.
Location wise you have to rent a golf cart to drive into town (20 mins.) or secret beach (10 min.) It wasn't too bad, but on a dirt road with not a lot of light. So be careful with how much you might drink while out on the town. haha. Makes for an exciting adventure for sure. We also had spa services and I will say it was one of the best spa treatments I have ever had. I got the service that included a body scrub, message, and hair treatment. It was wonderful.
I still think about our time at Matachica and can't wait to go back!
Thank you again to all the staff, you guys were amazing and made the trip that much better, THANK YOU!

Exactly what I needed. I spent 5 days on this beautiful resort. Every single staff member was kind, courteous, and sought to make every moment special. I always felt safe and cared for. The resort is gorgeous, the seafront casita I was in, was comfy cozy beautiful. The resort is far enough from town to enjoy the peace and quiet, and accessible via golf cart. Add a trip to the Great Blue Hole and Secret Beach and support locals. No one bothers you here. Enjoyed Anita (manager) and all the staff.

Beautiful Visit not to be missed!

Matachica was recommended to us for dinner while we stayed on the North shore of San Pedro. Just a short bike ride or golf cart drive away- whether you are coming from the lush nature side of the north or from the main town center, this restaurant and the grounds are not to be missed. The staff is exceptional and friendly. I highly recommend a visit to the grounds whether you are staying overnight or just coming for a day to enjoy live music, the picturesque walk along the pier and cabana beds, or to admire the artwork in the lobby.

There is an upscale restaurant with the most delicious food and wine (vegetarian friendly too), a wonderful bar with great ambiance and a more upscale island vibe, and outdoor bamboo tiki-like bar nearby the pool and mangroves. Romantic, island-classy, and artistic are the words I'd use to describe this gorgeous resort.
