Romance-seekers and nature lovers will relish a stay at Mahogany Hall, which is noted for its intimate size and quiet, away-from-it-all vibe. Rooms and suites are individually decorated with artworks celebrating local wildlife, while many rooms offer lush mountain views. In the Area
Mahogany Hall is situated on the lovely Mopan River, near the hamlet of Bullet Tree Falls. It’s well located for a day trip to the ancient Mayan site of Tikal, Caracol, Xunantunich, or to Cahal Pech, another significant Mayan site as well as the famous Actun Tunichil Muknal. The hotel can suggest hiking routes or arrange regional flights within Belize. But the main allure of Mahogany Hall is its quiet tempo, and many guests prefer to while away the day by the pool, in a hammock or Adirondack chair by the river, or playing a low key game of beach volleyball on the lawn.
How to Get There
Our four day stay was fantastic! Personal and sweet. A great place to relax after the countless adventures in this kind and beautiful country. The river offers a cool fun experience. Ask for a tube to run the river! The food is devine! Full of flavor and just outstanding presentation. Many thanks to the staff for making our anniversary extra special. Stay nowhere else.
My husband, two daughters, their boyfriends and I recently visited Belize. We spent the first part of our trip (2 full days) near San Ignacio at the Mahogany Hall Boutiqe Resort. Our accomodations were beautiful and the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. It is tucked down a back road along the Mopan river. We did several excursions booked through the hotel. Marsha, the director, helped me plan everything prior to our arrival and was amazing. Edwin escorted us from the airport, as well as did our Xanantunich Mayan ruins and zip line/cave tubing tour. He was excellent and so accommodating to us (stopping for whatever we needed, etc.). He is also a very good historian! We did the ATM cave tour which I had booked early through Viator before knowing I could book through hotel. It is a must; however, I recommend being in decent shape because there is a lot of climbing, swimming and wading through tight spaces. It was an incredible site. We ate all of our meals (except a few lunches on the tours or in town) at the hotel. The meals were delicious and we ate on the big table in the breezeway. It was very comfortable and Jose (hope I didn't mess up his name) always kept us well hydrated at the bar:). We hung out in the river and tubed with the adorable local children and learned more about their culture and schooling. The second half of our trip was spent on Ambergris Caye, which was beautiful; however, I'll never forget our experiences at Mahogany Hall. Highly recommend!!
From the second we arrived, we were always well-cared for at Mahogany Hall. We enjoyed delicious meals, quiet moments, and fun tubing on the river. We only spent three days, but I could see myself spending a much longer time here.
