Overview
The Lowdown
Sleep in style at the cool, minimalist B-Hotel in Barcelona. This TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence-winning property isn’t just an excellent demonstration of understated design – it’s also located along the bustling Plaça d’Espanya. You can stroll the famous Las Ramblas, or simply head up to the hotel’s sunny terrace and soak up the majestic views of Montjuïc.
Explore the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, the Passeig de Gràcia and (depending on the weather) the beaches of Barcelona from this hip base in the city. After you’ve soaked up the local culture, you can happily head back for a relaxing dip in the hotel’s eighth-floor swimming pool, where you’ll enjoy impressive views of the city. If it’s not quite swimming weather, sashay over to the poolside bar for a rich Spanish wine and a tapas taster.

You can sample a delectable range of tapas and robust Spanish wines at B-Bar, in the lobby. If you’d like a cocktail with a view, there’s a poolside bar on the eighth floor, and we highly recommend the frozen margaritas.

You can check out Plaça de Catalunya, the picturesque port, Congress Center, Montjuïc mountain and the nearby Poble Espanyol – an open-air museum displaying typical Spanish architecture. Finally, no trip to Barcelona would be complete without a stroll down Las Ramblas, where you can browse the market stalls and embrace the city’s café culture.

Its along Gran Via, its 15 minute walk to La Rambla. Lobby is actually a starbucks cafe. Across the street is mall called Arena, and on top of that mall has lots of restaurants that gives a nice 360 view of the area. The hotel is nestled is surrounded by restaurants, mercats, farmacia, so its a really accessible.
Helpdesk was very helpful in providing directions.
Rooftop of hotel has an infinity pool, which is very nice.
Rooms are clean, chic and very modern (typical of Barcelona).
Overall enjoyed our stay and will come back!
The hotel is in a real handy spot. Only 15mins walk from Barcelona Sants station and I also believe the aerobus from the airport drops you at Plaça Espana, just 50mts away. It is also close to the metro station which makes getting anywhere in the city easy. There is the Arenas shopping centre just next door which has a supermarket if you need supplies. It also close to the national museum of of art, which also has the Magic fountain shows each night from 2130.
The staff were friendly right from checkin. We stayed here as part of our 20th anniversary trip and had mentioned this when we booked, to try and get a nice view of the plaza from our room. Not only did we get the view, but no more than 15mins after arriving, there was a knock at the door. It was a staff member with a bottle of Cava (sparkling wine) and a note to congratulate us on our anniversary. That’s service!
The room was spacious with large and comfy bed. There was a small balcony you could walk out on, if you wanted some fresh air. The air con was good. The shower was good once we worked it out and the bathroom clean.
The pool on the top floor was excellent as were the guys doing the drink and food service there. We did not try the hotel breakfast, but we did use the Starbucks on the ground floor.
We also found it great that they had fresh fruit, water and lollies available in the foyer each day.
We had a really great stay and will recommend to others we know travelling to Barcelona.
A friend of mine recommended this hotel and I’m so glad she did! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious for a European hotel and were very clean and modern. The view from the rooftop pool was spectacular. The hotel was in a great location....far enough from the chaos of La Rambla, but still a very convenient location. The Espanya metro stop was a block away, which made it very easy to get around. I would definitely stay here again!
